***The Official UTHSC-San Antonio C/O 2018 Interview/Acceptance Thread***

I called yesterday and they told me that they do not send out acceptances in "batches", but rather on an individual basis... Which is confusing because last year on Jan 24th many people were accepted that same day

congrats! maybe they are working their way from early to later in the game? I interviewed on Jan. 28th so we shall see. if anyone else who interviewed on the 28th gets in let us know!

You mean 27? I'm pretty sure the lady there said it was their last interview.
 
Any other news? How many seats are still available?
 
I know at my interview dr. Segura said they were looking to fill the class in March so they must be getting close... I don't remember her specifying beginning or end of March though... Anyone heard anything new?

Was in the interview/acceptance/reject thread. I believe they both were noninterviews. I think they interviewed at other OOS, so they must have been been good applicants.
 
Rejected without interview today. OOS but a competitive applicant.
 
Anyone else just get an email from SA inviting them to some kind of continuing education lecture on "contemporary management of traumatic dental injuries"
 
Didn't SA already send out non-interviewee rejections? I didn't get interviewed, but I still haven't heard back. Any clue?

Yeah sorry. If you haven't been interviewed, it's a rejection as they're done with with interviews.
 
Accepted to SA today at 4:28pm! This is my first acceptance so I am BEYOND stoked! Whoop!
 
I called today and was told that if you interviewed, but haven't been rejected you're considered on a rolling admission basis. The weird part is that it is done at random. :shrug:

I'm curious to know how they choose. Is it like a lottery system?
 
I bet the timing is random, not the person being accepted. Just a guess though... "Random" acceptances just don't seem fair.
 
She literally said it was random. Whether that is referring to the timing or the selection, I don't know. She also said that it was a rolling acceptance, though. I don't know why she would throw in rolling and random together if she is referring to the same thing, but maybe so!
 
She said no ranking system and timing also random

I interviewed in October, and I still haven't heard anything...which means my app is still active. My friend got accepted on May 7 last year when I was getting ready to reapply. UTHSCSA just started their spring break this week, so maybe we will hear something next week?! Keep hope alive!!!
 
Anyone know when the next deposit deadline is?
 
Just got accepted! (Not an April fools joke)
 
The administrators changed Apri* Fool* to "awesome" ha ...
