I've been trying to find the interview type and can't.... I've heard it's a group but can anyone confirm? Also, is anyone else nervous for Friday?? haha good luck everyone!

Super nervous lol but I heard its a 2 on 1 interview. 2 faculty interview you i think.
 
Alright just had the interview today. It is a 2 faculty on 1 interview which lasts for 30 minutes. Different groups interview at different times. If you're group 1 then you interview right after the welcome message. The entire process was very relaxed and chill and the faculty and students make sure of that. There is also a short essay you have to write but the prompts aren't difficult. Good luck to those interviewing tomorrow

Also forgot to mention that they will interview 100 more people in January and if I remember correctly they will not give out any acceptances in January. They'll announce it after January.

Are you saying that pre December interviews are over?

it was two days till last year. Since VCU dean of admission has been changed, they have changed a lot of things about the interview day and it is one day interview this year.
 
If an interview invite is not given after application changes to "application complete" it's a pre-interview waitlist/rejection?

I dont think so! Pretty sure my status said app complete for at least a month before I was invited to interview
 
Does VCU send out a supplemental app?? This is the last school I’m waiting to hear from and it is one of my favorite! Looks like they haven’t interviewed many yet? Do they just take a bit longer than most?

Yes they send a supplemental app. I received mine a couple days after submitting. Last year, they interviewed until Feb.
 
I did not receive a supplemental either.... I just had to pay a processing fee and then got the application complete and under review email.

You only get the supplemental if you get an interview invite
 
I am pretty sure VCU only sends the supplemental to the applicants they’ll interview.

I am sorry, maybe I caused some confusion. It was an application fee that I paid after submitting.. some schools call it a supplemental fee.. you only receive a supplemental application if you receive an interview.
 
Nov 8th is last pre December interview date available.

they offered something to me in Janurary, but I opted for November

sounds like they’ll have a few then

Are the odds of getting an acceptance significantly worse if you interview in January?

I wouldn’t say significantly worse, but they do decrease as they’ve begun handing out acceptances to people and those people will be securing spots. They may not fill all the seats, so they will continue interviewing.

When I interviewed, they indicated midnight or next morning I believe. They said you could get a 2nd round acceptance as well (as in January or February)
 
Should we assume waitlist if we have yet to hear back...im oos applicant
