I think Shredder makes some valid points. Most of the pre-med SDN community is comprised of, well... talented and driven people, and not surprisingly, there is a large majority of people here who have done exceptionally well (in the 29 and above range, with mid-thirties) on the MCAT. Quite honestly I find most of the predictions in this thread quite plausible. Just take a gander at previous threads here where people have posted their actual scores (April / August '04, etc.)
Of course, we must heavily rely on the integrity of these posts, but I feel like the cloud of anonymity would make any false reports pretty useless and irrational.
There is no need to talk of optimism or pessimism... just some sensible reasoning may lead us to think that most of the SDN community will tend to be in that higher range in the MCAT bell curve... after all, if you're here, you probably also studied hard for this test 🙂 (or at least intend to, as evident by all the new kiddies posting questions about how we felt, how to prepare, what classes to take, etc.)
