I went from "This is good, I agree with all of this" to freaking out when the attendings and adcoms came in with their posts.

I think I'll just follow the status quo and choose ECs I enjoy as well.

I think that should be the point. In truth, "clinical" ecs aren't really all that more relevant than ones that aren't. However, not everyone who interviews students agrees with me on that.
