my taste in music changes often, depending on how tired I am of the music I listen to. I don't like the radio, so I listen to mp3 cds in my car and it gets old really fast.

I just saw alexisonfire play at emos in austin. They were playing with saosin. It rocked. I've never heard as cities burn. Sounds like something I'd like. I'm gonna check them out.

As for the lack of rap, my freshman english professor pretty much killed it for me when he said "All they rap about is bitches, hoes, and baby mamma's and it gets so repetitive".

Sadly, he was so right. In fact, the only "rapper" that I find appealing is Chamillionaire. He does it right. Forget about the rest! 😛

November 15th information (what we know from last cycle):
TCOM - people noticed their status page had been updated by 6 pm on 11/14
UTH - Sent emails starting at 12:08 am on 11/15
UTMB - Sent a "fabulous" PowerPoint presentation featuring music from Rocky at 5 am on 11/15
A&M - Filo sent individual emails to people starting around 9 am on 11/15. Took all morning.
UTHSCSA - of course, sent snail mail. They were postmarked 11/14, but few people received them on 11/15. Most came the 16th and 17th.
UTSW - Sent emails, but apparently not until 11/16. (at the interview day this year they said they'll be going out the 15th)

tech and UWSOM interviews within 15 minutes. so excited i didn't notice my BU rejection.

Lol, my interview packet says that UTSW matriculated 34 people with a 27 or lower and 65 people with 30 or lower and certainly more were interviewed. I don't know who made up that rumor especially when the average is only a 32.5 (c/o 2011)...

So I got an Southwestern invite today with an MCAT less than 30... I am pretty sure I have heard the rumor about a million times that SW doesnt interview below a 30, so there ya go, they do. I hope that gives someone hope!

It gives me some hope. 🙂 Also on their website they have facts that say the lowest gpa is 3.0 and lowest MCAT is 22 for the class of 2006.
