anyone know how to send transcripts to TMDSAS electronically? I'm trying to use parchment but TMDSAS does not appear in the delivery drop down menu.

Parchment does work, you have to type things in manually. Look carefully on TMDSAS for instructions on doing this. I’ll admit they could have made it easier though

For Parchment, please use [email protected] when asked to enter an email address.

If I am a senior right now and waiting to complete my final semester, do I need to send my transcripts right now, or can I wait until after my degree has been awarded in early May?

If you want to, you can put in your request to the registrar at your college now, but check the box that says "Send transcript after degree completion" or "after spring term grades final"

Should we do that asap or is this something that can wait until may?

Since you cannot hold more than one offer at a certain date, do I need to withdraw from any prematch schools since I did not match to those schools?

Once you matched with one of your higher-ranked schools on Match Day, all your lower-ranked pre-matches were automatically withdrawn.
This is what my understanding was, but I recently got an email regarding next steps from a school I prematched at whom I ranked lower than the school I matched at. Could this have been a mistake? Or is it possible that my application will be withdrawn soon? Just a bit confused on how the withdrawals work

Please contact TMDSAS and let them know, they will help you make sure everything works out as it should for you.
They usually close at 5 pm so you might need to message them in your portal & ask them to call you

Is it A&M you got that email from?

Nah Baylor
Let me understand. You prematched at Baylor but you ranked another TX school higher than that and you matched to that school on the match day. And, you have received an email after match day from Baylor about next steps?

Correct. Specifically, Baylor emailed me about campus selection

Do we then send our transcripts to both TMDSAS and our school we matched to? Or does TMDSAS send it to our school once it’s processed?

You send a final transcript directly from your college/colleges to each, to TMDSAS and to the med school you will attend
When I prematched I was only prompted to send transcripts to TMDSAS. I have yet to hear anything on the schools end. Should I wait until I get instructions from the school?

Yes, hopefully they will soon provide you with a checklist of what they need from you to enroll

I hope they have better things to do

I know that not having an interview by Jan 31st was in and of itself a rejection, but should we expect official rejection communication from our pre-II TMDSAS schools?

No, most of the TMDSAS schools assume you will draw the conclusion that no interview by Jan 31 means no chance of admission from them.

Right now we are seeing that each school has its own way of handling things after Match Day.
Long keeps everyone who interviewed but isn't accepted on the WL.
UTSW, McGovern, Texas Tech Lubbock are demonstrating that they have a WL of limited size.
UTRGV told applicants that everyone is on their WL, but is now sprinkling out WL emails making folks wonder and worry if that was true.

Would you happen to know if SHSU has a limited WL or if everyone who interviews and isn't accepted is placed on the WL?

I couldn't find that information, but some SDN members shared that they got an email placing them on the WL the next day after Match.
It won't do any harm to email SHSU and ask whether you are on their WL.
Good luck :xf:

I'm pretty sure SHSU has a limited WL and will email you if you're on their waitlist/ask you if you'd like to be on the waitlist.

Do you know about TCOM by chance?

Have some interviewees that didn’t match at UTRGV not gotten WL emails yet?

SHSU emailed me (and others) on match day offering a spot on the WL which I accepted. I was just curious. Thanks!

Oh Sdn... How long has it been? What a journey. The Harvester had to take a hiatus but has returned. There are many stories to tell, many IIs that the Harvester has yet to update to their profile. When food is plentiful, one does not discuss the rations they have. Oh how I wish I could share it with you. To those still on the waitlist, may the harvest be with you.

are you staying in texas?

Difficult to say. The Harvester was admitted to Harvard and is waiting to hear back and deciding between a few other schools. However, the Harvester feels that Texas is who they are. Leaving the rolling plains, the smell of barbecue on the front porch, the glorious sunsets that stream down from the heavens with drops of milk sparkling across the sky... The Harvester is a Harvester not because of what they are, but the land that has nourished them. As an act of gratitude, would one not nurture the very fields that made the milk they suckled on as a wee child?

We shall see. A difficult decision it shall be.

Has The Harvester considered attending all schools simultaneously

Has The Harvester considered attending all schools simultaneously
Of course. However, the Harvester's presence alone would shake the balance of every medical school's existence. For that reason, for the good of the world, the Harvester must choose one.

Regardless, the Interview Harvester's spirit shall live on at every school. The Harvester was benumbed to hear their potential classmates discussing the Harvester's existence at a second-look visit for a school. No one shall know the invisible Harvester that may walk the same halls as them. Passing by like a whisper of wind gliding over Caddo Lake in the dead of night.

In fact, the Harvester believes that long after their day on the field that is medical school applications, there will never cease to be a Harvester. For in each and every one of us, a Harvester exists. The Interview Harvester is not a title, but a lifestyle. It is your choice to believe that you are one. There will be many more like the Harvester in future cycles, that can be assured.
