The TMDSAS pre-match

Hey folks,

Just wondering if a pre-match can be offered from schools within Texas before you have submitted your ranking list. Is there any advantage to submitting your list early when the official decision is not made until January 21st?

I'm interviewing at a UT school on 19JAN -- just trying to figure out if I should wait until then or if I should submit now to have more of an advantage in the match. Thanks for your thoughts.

It's right there in TMDSAS: "Click to go to School Ranking"

Unless it just sits there until 21JAN and then is distributed out to schools...

No advantages to submitting early, since they won't look at your rank list until after the deadline. You can get prematches before you submit your ranking (anytime between now and whatever the last day prematches are sent out).
