Hey kids,

Is July 1st the day that most schools release secondaries? Or is that an application/SDN urban legend? Any re-applicants want to enlighten us?

It only looks like a handful of schools is currently sending out secondaries. I am a little nervous that I am going to get all 13 remaining secondaries on Friday or Monday or whatever. 😡 😱

Seriously, I am climbing the walls in my office. I know, I know. It is too early to exhaust myself. But.

I have been checking my status page for OSU, and TWO of my LOR's are IN! WOOOOOO!!!!!!!! One prof, one work. Seeing their names appear under mine makes me feel like there is a whole jackiemd07 support team. Woo! Yeah.

I am waiting on my second and third profs...One who said she would send this week, and one who I emailed and left a voice mail for with no response. That one is making me nervous. 😡 Apparently I can go under review with two academic and one work (I would like my volunteer one in there too, but we'll see) so we will see...

I am meeting my volunteer coordinator for lunch today. Perhaps she already sent hers. 😍

Hey danjo and scentimint. Right now I have nothing but love for everyone.
I'll probably be this way about every application when I check the status page until I see all of the LOR writers names! You know how we do. 😍

I am also the kind of person who is going to probably cry when I get a rejection letter, even if it is somewhere like Columbia or Northwestern. 😱

I'm trying to motivate myself to wax eloquent about the Jesuit commitment to social justice. Which I know nothing about, but that shouldn't be a huge problem, right?

On a related note, how do you all count words? Just use the word count function, or do something like divide characters by 5? I don't think I ever had to write something that was "word limited" before.

Jota, I just use word count, go to Tools and choose Word Count in MS Word.

I guess I'm VERY lucky that my undergrad required all of my LORs in by the end of February...they're just waiting to send out my composite letter once I know where I have secondaries.
