But seriously. When are the rest of the secondaries coming? Where are my letters of rec?? I said I wanted a drink with an UMBRELLA in it DAMMIT!!!

No. My profs sent them directly. Signed the flaps of the envelopes all old school. Besides, interfolio sounds like cornholio. I couldn't take that kind of chance.

I liked that secondary! But I guess I just like to write. I really hope A&M gives me an interview. I loved ugrad there so much they're high up on my list.

Actually, A&M has gone up a few notches in my book too.

That didn't make that secondary essay any easier to write, although I managed to throw something together. Hopefully I get it all proofread/done by tomorrow so that I can enjoy my 4-day 4th of July weekend and be done with all of these secondaries. I still have to finish writing the UTSW "setting" one, but that's pretty easy.

Welcome back 😀 With a 31 you do have a good shot at NU as long as you have some good experiences behind from. From the people that I have talked to and their website, numbers will get you the first glance, but it will be your unique experiences that may get you the interview or acceptance.

I don't have any crazy ass experiences, but since I live in Chicago, I am definitely going to apply and most likely waste my 75 dollars 😛

Thanks! I'm definitely applying there because it is in Chicago. I'm meeting with a pre-med advisor tomorrow-I'll see what they say.

I met with someone at the career center about my PS and they thought my essay was very well organized and well written. stupid MCAT people-giving me an N

No $h!+!!! Compare these past two weeks to the two weeks it took from the predicted MCAT release date of June 7th (damn TPR!) and the actual release date of June 19th! Unbelievable!

Anyone else have families suddenly become oddly unsupportive? Suddenly my family acts like the applications are just a formality and keep asking me where I'm going to school. My sis actually got irritated that I was spending so much on apps (trust me I'm pretty pissed too) Some of them are still trying to figure out why I'm not going in August.

My wife understands the whole process...she just doesn't understand why I'm willing to give up everything I've worked for and start over!
