I don't care if you're a 6.0 gpa student but you can't look straight into the mirror and tell me you see a f***** cube at the base next to the tallest cube.

Yeah man I hated questions like these. It could go either way, both an empty space or a cube would have looked that way. I just learned to assume that there is a cube there in those situations and I turned out to be right a majority of the time. Thank God I didn't have any these or those damn illusion ones on the exam. Good luck studying.

Why? All cubes must be connected to another cube via a face/side. Therefore, there has to be a cube there otherwise the back-right most cube couldn't exist, as it would not be touching another cube's face. Read directions. 😎

Yeah, stuff like this on practice tests is crazy and maddening. They won't do this to you on the real test, though! There aren't "illusions" or anything like that.

Don't study so late, crazy! 😛 Unless you're international, 3:35AM in my time zone qualifies as "late" anywhere in the US.

He's right about the connecting, so that should make things easier for you. Also my DAT definitely had 1-2 of these types of "illusion" cube counting, so don't just ignore these types.

I had ones like this on my DAT. They have to connect! A side of one cube has to connect to the sides of the other cubes, not corners, sides! You will get it bro dozer

The cubes must be continuous, touching faces, not merely along an edge or a corner. In the real world, yes you can argue with or without. In the DAT world, that's how it rolls.
