[FONT=Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif]"From APGARS to Mini-Mental Status and Everything in Between".
Loma Linda University, in conjunction with the University of Southern California, cordially invite you to this year's Third Annual Western Regional Med-Peds Conference! This year's conference will be held at the beautiful University of Southern California, Irvine Medical School campus in Nelson Auditorium on Saturday, April 28th from 8 am to 5 pm.
The theme of this year's conference, "From APGARS to Mini-Mental Status and Everything in Between", highlights the most unique aspect of this 4-year combined specialty: the depth of knowledge in two disciplines integrated with continuity of care.
Med-Peds residents, faculty, and especially medical students interested in learning about this unique career are encouraged to attend. Program directors from USC, UCLA, UCSD and Loma Linda will be in attendance. We also have an exciting itinerary planned that includes renowned speakers highlighting their experiences in Med-Peds, a program directors panel where medical students can learn about the criteria for application and curriculum overview, and a post-graduate panel where residents can discover the numerous fellowship and primary care opportunities available upon completion of their training.
In keeping with tradition, this year's conference will also include opportunities for abstract submission via poster presentations. Residents AND medical students are encouraged to submit interesting case reports and/or highlights of their research as scientific posters that will be displayed throughout the interim of the conference.
The day will end with a relaxing social/happy hour at Joe's Crab Shack in Newport Beach.
