Would a 17 alpha hydroxylase XY male have uterus/tubes? I didn't think so as MIF on the Y chromosome would knock it out.... Kaplan Qbank says otherwise.

PS in terms of distinguishing 17 alpha hydrox. def from Testicular Feminization syndrome in an XY, -the main difference symptomologically would be breasts at puberty (in AR because testosterone aromatize to estrogen)? Anyone got anything else?

I would think they would have MIF too (so no internal female gen)????

17hydrox def they are likely going to give you some HTN info or evidence of low cortisol or something...

17-AHD in XY Male is basically saying he is a male psuedohermaphrodite.
----> NO uterus/tubes due to MIF. Kaplan is wrong.
