I felt the interview process was pretty good, the faculty and students made whole process less stressful then I had originally thought. The interview process differs for each group of interviewees, my group had the informal group interview with the students first, then by two faculty members, and finally a tour of the campus. Another group had the tour first and then the interviews.
The types of question they had asked were basic, at least for me. The first interview was an open file and the second one was a closed file. Usually they will ask something alone the lines of "So tell me a little about yourself?", "Why pharmacy?", "What achievement(s) are you proud of?", "Your strengths and weaknesses?", etc. I can't really remember if any of the questions had stumped me, but the question's were straight forward, and its safe to say the closed file interview is much smoother than the open file interview if you have to explain any tough grades.
We did not have any writing portions and I personally have no idea how long it would take to get from TJU to Temple, but its safe to say TJU is smack dab in the middle of the city, and from what I saw it was the usual city traffic coupled with notoriously horrible east coast drivers (alot of Jersey drivers in Philly I guess lol), so give yourself an ample amount of time, and don't forget the parking woes of any city.
Thanks so much, Filler- you're very kind. Congrats on your and everyone else's acceptance!!! 🙂
By the way, I must have missed the interview feedback for this school when I first checked, but now I know that it's under Jefferson- I was looking under the T's- my mistake. Still, I really appreciate you sharing your experience here.
Lol, thanks for the advice. I won't be driving, but am considering either taking the taxi or the subway (not sure which is better).
I had another curious question about how many ppl are being admitted per interview cycle? Since it's still kind of early in the admission cycle, would anyone know if they are going to be admitting or putting on hold or rejecting a fair portion of the people who will be interviewed around this time?
Also, if anyone has any more tips, please don't hold back. I'd be most grateful. Thank you! 🙂
