Those annoying pharyngeal pouches

    How much emphasis should we place on these for the step 1?

    Also, is there any easy way to remember them and what their derivatives are?

    You might get 1 question about them. I'd review them but wouldn't waste time trying to know them cold.

    M-middle ear
    P-palatine tonsil
    IT-inferior parathyroid, thymus
    S-superior parathyroid

    DiGeorge and the 3rd/4th pouches seems like it'd be the most likely question on this.
