Hello,
So far, I've got into some schools, including my state schools,
but I really hope to spend my next four years in city so I am finally deciding between these two "expensive" schools.
NYU:
I love new york.
-great restaurants
-great galleries, museums
-great places to shop
To me, NYU is more famous internationally.
great research programs (NIH funding #2?) - but I am not interested in research.. I want to be a general dentist. But I would love to open a door for specialization.
Tufts:
FASCINATING FACILITIES
Taking NBDE part 1 right after D1
Pretty well known in Boston area (correct me if it is true)
Smaller class size compared to NYU (200 vs. 360)
So,
if Tufts is in New York, I am happy to attend and it will be my top choice..
But, it is in Boston.
Also, a lot of people surrounding me told me that NYU is more "famous" than Tufts in general.
According to many many internet based source, NYU is ranked in TOP 5 but Tufts is ranked in 22 or 23...
is that true?
I am considering this because I may practice in california
