Hi,

I'm a Canadian on an F1 visa at an American pharm school. I just had a look at my visa and it expires in the spring of my grad year. Now since you do have to be licensed for residency opportunities would this be at all possible for me to squeeze into that timeframe? When do all of these things usually take place? Note- the F1 visa does give me an extra year (called OPT) of staying in the country to get things sorted out (I guess?).

It depends on when your visa runs out. Residencies run through the end of June. The vast majority of them want you to have a visa applicable through the end of the residency that is not sponsored by the residency program.
