My fear is that the schools will say:
"Med school our your bonus...you pick."
While deferrals are granted, they tend to be rare, and for very good reasons, like for illness or life issues.

Some schools specifically say on their websites that deferrals can't be granted for people getting off the waitlist (ex. NYMC), while other schools don't mention anything.
