you name it, we have done it. We have cried with the bad grades in classes we have laughed at how ridiculous and trivial a "B" may seen we have envied those of us getting better grades than us we have done crappy work in labs hoping to get some "medical experience" to add to the resume. we have shelled out 40 bucks for honor societies whose meetings we have never gone to, when we couldn't even afford our own food!! we have given plenty of thought to "what if I don't make it?" and worse of all, we have gone through the MCAT. Now, it's all over. There is not much we can do about our scores. I want you all to realize that you did the best you could, and handled things in the manner you knew best. NO amount of crying, complaining, etc is going to change that score. Take a look at your application in pride. See that your activities and work that you did was not just a silly job in lab, it was a place where you learned something. Realize that you are more than just those three sets of numbers, you application has a name..a face..and God forbid, even DREAMS!! DO NOT LET YOURSELF DOWN BY GIVING UP YOUR DREAM. We have done it all.....and now we have another notch to add to our list. The infamous MCAT. The games have just begun. It's like playing FLUSH or even Poker and seeing your LAST CARD that is dealt to you. Now, you have a hand full of cards...question is, how are you going to play it? Are you going to try and kick ass even more? Or are you going to let a mediocre score pull you down? Do not let yourself down. Work on your dreams, because if you don't learn how to kick your own ass...nobody else will do it for you. THE GAMES HAVE JUST BEGUN::::A sincere toast to the Medical Student Class of 2003. Sounds good, huh? Now go work hard and make sure you put that M.D. (or a D.O.) behind your name. You have earned it.
