After mulling about as an R3, facing the harsh reality that third year is just as much work as second year, I have finally had some down time to work on a fellowship application on ERAS. The question is...am I too late in the game? I have yet to request my LORs, although I anticipate they would be in by next week. I have a first draft of a personal statement that I still need to tweak.
Is it worth the effort/money to apply right now, or should I hold off until next summer and go all in on July 15, 2015? If I have a realistic chance at interviews this season, I am willing to go for it...just feel a bit discouraged because it is 3 weeks out from opening of applications season.
