Did anyone check out this site http://matchquery.com/? Under “med students”> “year 4” > “queries” it says it will let you put in your ROL and a profile to get an estimate of where you match. There’s no actual app until Feb 15, but I was going to try out a couple ROL versions on it before the cert deadline. Has anyone else looked at this or used something similar?

the site wants $14.oo and isn't available until 2/15/11...I think the palm reader down the street is cheaper and possibly more acurate.

Honestly though, I wonder how that website company would even be able to give a remotely accurate match result. It seems they judge based on cut-offs, but still, I dont know, if it was free and offered now I'd do it, but since it's neither free nor offered now, no thanks.

I was kind of on the fence about it but I think I probably won't do it. It seems too nebulous to justify the price.

If it were free, then it might be worth the time simply for the mental masturbation, but the fact that money is involved just screams "scam". Why would this person have nation-wide, specialty-wide knowledge on match preferences? If a program will ever develop, it will be based on artificial algorithms. Trash in, trash out - you'll do a better job figuring your chances by looking at matchapplicants and posts in your specialty of interest.

If you are registered for the NRMP then you have already received an e-mail from them telling us all that this website is BS
