1. WashU (i'm the undergrad that won't leave!)
2. Vanderbilt
3. UChicago

which could change after i interview at these places.
out of the interviews so far:
1. SLU
2.Univ of Missouri
3. Rush...but i didn' t like it there too much, so it's really like 17 of the 17 i applied to right now....

1. UC San Francisco
2. UC Davis
3. Stanford
4. UCLA/Drew
5. UCLA

Geez, its so close between UCSF and UC Davis. I think I might be leaning towards Davis...

University of Cincinnati PSTP-1st choice
interviewed this weekend

University of Cincinnati MD only-2nd choice
accepted

1. Emory
2. Univ of Alabama
3. Harvard

I'm super happy b/c I'm already accepted to the first two:D :D and my boyfriend of two and a half yrs is probably going to grad school in Atlanta at GA Tech. Didn't think Alabama would ever be my 2nd choice, but I really liked it when I went there.b
Haven't heard anything from Harvard after I submitted the secondary. Thinking I probably won't but trust me, I'm not complaining.

1. NYU (for reasons of an obscure 100% scholarship that I would be eligible for)
2. Any other NYC school
3. UMDNJ-NJ

Can you tell I want to stay in NYC???

1. Yale/UPenn/Cornell
2. University of FL (they rejected me already though) so University of Miami goes in its place.
3. University of South Florida/Florida State University

As you can see, unless I somehow slipped by the cracks into an ivy league school I'm set on staying in FL. BUT I have no interviews from FL schools, so with that, I will rank my schools that I do have interviews from.

1. UMDNJ-NJMS
2. Albert Einstein
3. Howard University

Based on the schools I interviwed at...

1) Penn
2) Michigan
3) WashU

This could all change at any moment of course. And Financial Aid offers will probably rearrange the whole list

I go to Mayo next week, I'm guessing that afterwards, it will have a place on my list.

Why's everyone bashing WashU? I thought it was pretty cool when I went there...

1. Princeton
2. Berkeley
3. Drew/UCLA

So I guess Drew/UCLA it is then.

yeah... i checked out mine as well (ucsd, ucsf, ucla). that was before that damn august mcat! i suppose i haven't been rejected from two of those yet, but they will probably be arriving shortly. on a happier note, my #6 school was pitt & i'm heading out there tomorrow for an interview :)

1. University of Washington
2. Columbia University P&S
3. Case Western Reserve University

Pre-Interview

1. UCLA
2. UCSD
3. Stanford
4. UCI
5. Cornell

Post-Interview

1. UCLA (stanford?)
2. Stanford (ucla?)
3. UCSD
4. Cornell
5. UCI

So, I've been visiting this site for a long time now...it's awesome; but y'all know that. And I figured, what better way to initiate my posting to this site by delcaring what my top schools are:

UPenn
Jeff
GW

But, blah...MCATS in August first.

Top 3 before interviews:
1. Stanford
2. UCSF (no interview)
3. UCLA (no interview)

Ranking after interviews:
1. Duke and Miami
2. Stanford
3. Harvard
4. Georgetown
5. U. of Maryland
6. St. Lous medical
7. George Washington

Would have loved to visit: Boston, Tufts, Tulane, Albert Einstein, Columbia, UCSF, UCLA, USC but no interview.

Pre-interview:
1. U of Washington
2. Dartmouth
3. U of Vermont

Post-interview
1. U of Washington - still out in front
2. U of Cincinatti - really impressed me; makes a 1 vs. 2 decision tough
3. Drexel - they offer a great package

If OHSU or Tufts offer interviews then there might be some further movement

Pre-interview
1. Harvard
2. UCSF
3. UCLA
4. Stanford (no interview)
5. Wash U.
6. Johns Hopkins
7. Yale
8. UCSD
9. USC

Post-interview
1. Harvard
2. Hopkins
3. UCLA
4. Yale
5. Wash U.
6. UCSF
7. USC
8. UCSD

This is purely based on my impressions after I interviewed at each place. (Did not interview at USC but I am pretty familiar with it.)

My actual order of attending these schools might be radically different-- taking into consideration location, family, cost, etc.

Now that interviews are done:

1. Northwestern
2. OHSU
3. Tulane

These are the tiers that are based on my impressions and experiences. Financial Aid will determine which school if they are in a tie.

Post-interview:

1)Harvard
2)UCSF/PENN
4)Columbia/Cornell/Yale
7)Hopkins(wait-list)/WashU
9)Stanford (this could move up but my interview is early March)

Mine have really changed. First choice is still the same, but now
1. Arkansas
2. Mercer
3. Creighton
I'm looking for schools with a big primary care emphasis...

you do realize you HAVE to be a GA resident to apply to Mercer, right?

Interesting retrospective

Here was my Original List with what happened with them during the application process:
1) Baylor (waitlisted)
2) UT Southwestern (accepted)
3) Johns Hopkins (rejected pre-interview)
4) Stanford (rejected post-interview)
5) Harvard (rejected pre-interview)

Here is m New List (considering where I have interviewed and still have a chance of acceptance):
1) Baylor
2) Southwestern
2) Mayo
4) Vanderbilt
5) USC

I would have a very difficult time deciding between Southwestern and Mayo.

Ranking my interviews:
1. Vanderbilt University
2. Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons
3a. Case Western Reserve University
3b. University of Pittsburgh
5. Oregon Health & Science University
6. Emory University
7. University of Southern California
8. Ohio State University
9. Boston University
10. Wake Forest University
11. University of Minnesota - Minneapolis
12. Jefferson Medical College
13. University of Cincinnati
14. Albert Einstein of Yeshiva University
15. St. Louis University

A little Oregon bias for my hometown....

Bummed about not getting an interview: Baylor College, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine of the City University of New York, New York University, University of Pennsylvania, and Washington University in St. Louis.

Pre-Interview:
1. Northwestern
2. University of Chicago
3. University of Pittsburgh

Now:
1. University of Chicago (Waiting, though not hopeful)
2. WashU (Waiting, though not hopeful)
3. Case Western (Accepted)

Well, it TECHNICALLY is private, but they are subsidized by the state of GA and their mission is to train docs to work in indigent and rural Southern GA. They dont take out of staters, and instaters have to provide documents proving their residency while applying.

Just trying to save you some AMCAS fees :)

Post Interview:
1. Harvard
2. Duke
3. Yale
4. U of Miami
5. JHU / UMich
6. Cornell cuz they have good food:D

Ahh...my lovely thread. O.k. here goes:

Before:

1. Northwestern (whacked in January)

2. Loyola (Interviewed, alternate list)

3. Pitt (whacked in December)

After:

1. ????? (I like secrets; I'll let the cat out of the bag if I get in) :D

2. Loyola (alternate list)

3. UIC (accepted)

Are you sure you have enough interviews.:D

dr kevin40,

if you're looking for nice looking undergrad girls then let me tell you: NOR CAL is not the place to be. you're also assed out if you go to harvard because the girls at harvard are competitively ugly there also. want some advice, "go to ucla"

good luck

Grr, It's so frustrating, they have one of the best training programs for rural physicians in the country, and I can't go because I'm not from Georgia....
