Take a look at this one again . The right answer is A, why can it not be B🙁
I think should practice more. These figures are insane!

Notice how the circle in answer B is directly in the middle of the square. Now notice how the circle is off centered in answer A. If you look at the end view and look closely at the dotted lines you will see that the dotted lines which indicate the circle are actually off centered like in answer A. Therefore answer A is correct. I hope this helps. I actually figured out TFE questions a little differently than others but it got me into dental school. Good Luck

2 other, more obvious, things...

1) The triangle shape (on the right in both the top and front views, in front on the end view) doesn't extend as far out as the square shape. This is accurately reflected in figure A and not in figure B.

2) Figure B puts an extra edge on the triangle shape. If that were the case then figure B would be a triangle with a vertex on the top middle and then a slope going back down to the right. But it only has an upward slope - no edge in the middle.

end view...which end do they mean? the back end? the bottom end? I haven't started reviewing for the PAT portion yet...

The most obvious thing that makes A the answer is when you look down at the top of the right angle triangle, you will only see one surface (the diagonal surface). You WILL NOT see the back edge like B suggests because it is a vertical edge (see end view).

Look for the single surface, make sure its on the correct side, answer is A - next question please.

Once again, these figures are awful! In the end view, anything behind the triangle should be hidden (dashed) lines. I strongly suggest you throw that book away or something. Maybe pick up a graphical communication text book. The first chapter of those types of books usually deal with this kind of stuff.

I completely agree with Bahama, it is definately A. I have yet to miss one top front end question however, I am having a lil hard time with keyholes, anyone have any suggestions for key holes?

ok man where are you geting this crap from?
A is close BUT then in the end view the part of the rectangle that is covered up by the triangle should be dotted NOT solid line
😕
End-view does mean view from the right side of the object right?

totally agree with you... i also think its A, but i think the question is drawn out wrong. If looking at the figure from the right end, then the rectangle is covered by the triangle, and so the rectangle's lines should all be dotted instead of solid.
