So the general overview is the following: I'm trying to get to be a dentist with the army. I have no idea what the requirements are for that, I am currently with the national guard but I need a more general view of what exactly is needed and how long it would roughly take. thank you for your help.

A dental degree and age/fitness requirements.

i see, well how many years does it take to have a dental degree? what courses or classes do i need? i honestly dont know where to start. i know obviously college but i am unsure of how to kbow what to take.

Get a bachelors degree and take these classes:
Gen Chem I&II
Gen Bio I&II
Gen Physics I&II
Organic Chem I&II
Biochem
Calculus I or Statistics
Some upper level bio courses (varies by which dental schools you want to apply to).

Take the DAT and get into a dental school, then complete 4 years of dental school.

Also shadow a general dentist and meet with your professors so they will write you good letters of recommendation. And volunteer. And have 5 heart attacks during the application process.

to become an army dentist is the same way to become a civilian dentist.

you need to complete the pre-dental requirements (these are pretty much the same classes as a typical pre-med student).... usually this is accomplished by going to a 4-year university and obtaining a bachelors degree (a good majority of pre-dents / pre-meds are biology and/or chemistry majors)

Then you apply to dental schools... ONCE YOU GET ACCEPTED (and before starting dental school).... you contact the army (or navy or air force) and try to get a full scholarship with them. If you land the scholarship, they will pay 100% of ur dental education PLUS, you get to serve as an officer Dentist with the area (army, navy, or air force) for as minimum of 4 years (you can go longer if you wish) after becoming a dentist.
