this recession and stock mkt crash will have some significant effect on research funding sources.. even HHMI budgets are being cut by 20% this yr, HHMI is losing billions of $$ everyday. let's just hope the economy bounces back soon!

IIRC the NIH is supposed to get a doubling in funding, provided Congress ever gets around to it...

The NCI section of NIH is definitely feeling the pinch. But ANY research related to the war in terrorism (infectious diseases, ect)........they're swimming in dough!
