That’s normal. Touro sent out IIs in July last year. So will be about a month or so before people’s status will change.

Unsure how the additional 100 NM seats will affect interviews and applying. So we could see more IIs sent out and at an earlier time as well. Just have to wait for now

I received an email from Touro stating they are happy I selected TCDM as a potential school to apply to and they received my name within the AADSAS portal. I received a follow up email basically repeating the same information but also saying to apply early. For context, I have selected TCDM in AASDAD application, but haven't filled out the program questions.

Has anyone else received an email like this? Does it mean anything? Is it just automated email? Is TCDM interested in me as an applicant?

It’s a way to make money, don’t be fooled. If you want to apply, apply! But don’t be misconstrued into thinking it makes you more favorable if being headhunted by a school. A lot of people get these types of emails. It’s the same thing with undergrad and receiving mail from all types of schools

Still very early into the cycle. Look at last years thread to get a general idea (linked at the top post)

They interview at least throughout the year. With addition if 100 seats in NM they’ll probably interview slightly more students or do something different. Unclear exactly what they’ll do.

But also depending on your stats and mission fit will also determine if you stand a good chance for interviews at schools. But don’t stress, again, still early in cycle

very few schools have even started offering interviews

For anyone who knows, do Touro Dental provide on-campus housing like a dorm option for dental student? On their website, it says they do provide limited availability for dental students, but they have no further explanation.

What kind of questions do they ask? I was looking through the SDN page from last year and it seems like it is just why dentist? why touro?

from my experience last year, it's pretty conversational. They asked me like the above, Why Touro, Why do you want to be a dentist, tell me about yourself, explain this experience on your app, etc. Know your app very well, have answers for Why Us, Why Dentistry, Tell me about yourself, and Do you have any questions for me and you should be just fine. It's a laid back interview

All the typical questions were asked. But mine was mostly conversation not much of big questions

Hey, I received mine today as well. Did they offer you any dates before late November? I am worried because most of the people here were offered early interviews dates..
