Yes, when you are applying, it asks you if you want to be considered for the NY/NM cohort also. But, I only selected the option for NY, so I’m not sure if it’ll let you choose the cohort when you get accepted.

In my interview they said if you picked no preference it was automatically NM. You can't switch from NM to NY but if you choose NY you can switch to NM.
