Does anybody know about the interview process? About how long does it take? Trying to plan out my trip and flight details. Thanks in advance.
 
I'm curious about that as well, Steven1105. I just confirmed my interview for the 21st of January. What hotel did you guys stay at, and did it offer any discounts?

I got there at about 11am and was there till 2 or 3pm. They shuffle you around to meet a few different people and it's a bit disorganized. If you like the school you should stay as long as possible getting oriented.

So I am totally new to this site and I am also applying to Touro NYC!

I'll post my stats here:

GPA overall 3.17 up to a 3.19 or 3.2 after I update my pharmcas app from this semester.
Science GPA 3.17
a year and a half as a pharmacy technician so far
1 year of research in an organic chemistry laboratory
1 year of research in an analytical biochemistry laboratory
3 LOR's 1 from my pharmacist/boss/and
Extracurricular activies as a dance instructor for children for the past year/ and established a university club!


When I got this message from Touro:
We have reviewed your pre-requiste courses, please see below for the status. All pre-requisite courses must be completed by the end of the Spring 2014 semester.

If your status is:

Fulfilled or in progress for all courses then there is nothing for you to do. Your application is eligible for an interview and will continue to be considered for an interview until we close the admission process.

Pending you must submit documentation (schedule, registration confirmation or transcript) upon registering for the course. Your application is eligible for an interview and will continue to be considered for an interview until we close the admission process.
Contact School- missing/ incomplete/ unacceptable course (s). Application will be put on hold until the necessary information is obtained.




I got this email on Friday afternoon! I am 1 credit short on fulfilling their biology requirement so hopefully I will still receive an interview!

It's holiday now, so just be patient and give them time. Also, what it stated on your post meaning you need to send them your grades by the end of spring semester. The sooner, the better. That doesnt mean you can't score an interview invite either.

Just received an interview invite. For those of you who had your interview, would you mind sharing your experience? How was the interview process? I am especially nervous for this one because Touro is one of my top choices. Congrats to all those who have been accepted so far! 🙂

Sure. I submitted my supplemental on Dec 12 and received an email two days later saying they received it. Received an email yesterday about my courses and then got an email today for interview.

I've submitted my documents oncdec 2nd and then they requried to registration proof of two courses that I submitted on dec 17 th but didn't get any update so worried about all
 
I got an interview for January 7th @1030am! any one got any tips for the interview?

I got my interview today on jan 21th but I have interview at the same day at MCPHS, I dont know what to do!

Pick the one you feel more comfortable and confident with. Go with you guts. Don't let the opportunity slips through your fingers. Wish you the best!!!

You can ask the school to reschedule the interview day. They will do it for you. Congrat 🙂

I email Touro to reschedule my interview, Hope they give me the Jan 14th 🙂, can those who had interview or got accepted give me some info about interview at Touro , anything helps thank you

I interviewed last year for the Class of 2017 and was accepted, but went elsewhere.

They asked simple questions.

1. Why Pharmacy?
2. Where do you see the practice of pharmacy in the next 5 years?
3. Share an experience where you have had a conflict with a colleague and how you approached it.

Be your self do not act all sophisticated or nothing like that. A tip is trying to find something that you might have in common with the interviewer.

Feel free to ask any questions.

I want to add something. There is a question that asks you to describe yourself using 3 words (1 word each time). I and my friends during the interview they felt that this question was quite challenging. Other than that, just stay clam and be yourself
