Touro University - CA Fall 2011 Applicants

I am on waitlist (high alternate). I talked to Criselle a few days ago and she said the board will be meeting again in the next couple weeks to review waitlisted candidates. However, I didn't know they've already accepted some waitlisted candidates. The wait is brutal. I hope that we are not the ones who have to wait till first day of school on August.
Any ideas on how many spots are left? My heart is pounding!!!!
yeah, the waiting sucks. i just hope that it'll be worth it in the end. i'm also wondering how many spots are left.

p.s to those still waiting on the waitlist, dont give up. i was one of those people who was getting ready to reapply because i didnt think my stats were good enough, but out of the blue last friday, i got in! so keep believing! you can do it!!

I will be attending pharm school at Touro this coming fall. I am from the bay area. I am interested in renting a house on mare island to share with other female roomates like me who are quiet, clean, and friendly. I been there recently to check out the area. Recently remodeled modern home. 3 bed/2 bath. You will share the house with 2 young professionals (my brother and I, we both went to law school). The house is located 19 minutes from the campus and 6 minutes from the medical center.
Free Utilities include:

hey guys! I just received a call from Steven Davis from admissions and I was offered a seat for the upcoming fall. I had my interview in November and I was placed on high alternate wait list. I declined my seat! So you guys may be hearing something soon. Leave you phones on! Good luck to everyone!

2 rooms will be available for rent starting July 1, 2011. It is a 5 bedroom house located in the city of Vallejo, about 5 miles away from campus, the cross streets are McDougal and Selfridge. The house itself is located in a very secure neighborhood and is next to an elementary school. The 2 tenants that will be living in the house will be a 4th and 3rd year pharmacy school student (both male) out on rotations. They are very clean and quiet, however, one of them does have a pet dog, but the dog is always in the room. The dog is relatively small and is extremely friendly. Here's the information on the 2 rooms available:
Room 1:
Rent is $500/month; with a one year lease
Measurements: 11 x 10
Room 2:
Rent is $525/month; with a one year lease
Measurements: 12 x 11

Any updates to report on? Anyone get offered a spot on the wait list or know someone who may have just turned down a spot to go to another school?
I got a phone call and an email from Steve today offering me a spot. I was on the HA waitlist. I hope people on the waitlist hear good news soon! Good luck!
May I know what is your GPA and your extra-curricular activities to get pulled from HA? I am also in the HA and nervously waiting for getting called?

AYae, what are your statistics? I am also on high waitlist...I have a strong ec background imo but low 3 gpa...

Congrats PHARMD388! I'm really happy for you! Can't believe it's been 1+ month since we last talked. Now, if only I could hear back from them like you had, asap.
I have a 3.4 overall GPA and a 3.3 sciGPA. 2+ years of pharmacy experience and 1 year of research. I sent in a letter of intent back in april and I also sent them my updated transcripts.

Finally got accepted. I got an unexpected phone call from Steven Davis last Friday while I was touring around the Grand Canyon with my husband. Good news+great view+wonderful company =😀. I accepted the offer.
To those who are still on wait list, DONT GIVE UP! my stat is 3.65 for both GPA. One year of pharmacy experience, not a technician. I sent in 3 intent letters, 3 extra recommendation letters. Show them your will! It's not too late!

So theres no movement this year? great ....... i guess it wasnt that good of a school anyways and I will continue my life as an investor... Not like its a drop off
