Has anyone who submitted their application early received an interview invitation from Touro University School of Pharmacy? I am not sure, but I have heard that some interviews may start in late September. Is this true? 😕

yeahh, their first interview will be on Sept. 29th for early decisions. I received a letter last week and just called this morning to schedule one for regular decision, which will start on Oct. 21st. hope that clarifies your confusion 🙂

Thanks for clarifying the interview dates. I was unaware of the early decision process. If I submitted my application in early June, am I automatically qualified for early decision or is there still time to inform the admissions committee that I would like to be an early decision candidate?

I did a search of old threads and found one concerning the Early Decision Process. However, is it too late to ask the school about applying into the early decision?

esteb: when I called Ms. Julie to schedule an interview, she said the "next available date" is Friday Oct. 21st. If you sent in your appl. between June and the end of July, you'd be considered for early decision I think. b/c I sent mine in Aug. and I was considerabled for regular. I guess the interviews for early dec. have been filled, but it'd not hurt to call and check with Julie. she's very nice...

I just received an invitation in the mail and I'm not too sure I can make it to the Oct. 21st interview. I don't want to call Ms. Lee and make it seem like I'm haggling over interview dates. TIA all.

Hi there, you can go to the Interview section (Pharmacy) in studentdoctor.net front page and look for Touro Univ..and yea, Congrats on getting an interview and Good luck! ...I know how it would feel...and I want to experience feeling that someday for real...

hmm...i'm wondering if those who got invited got Bachelors yet? bc it seems like they're selecting most of those who got Bachelors for interviews over those who do not....it's true bc i applied way back in the end of July and havent receive any invitation....i will definitely try again next summer after all of this waiting...

oh btw how many people are they going to interview anyway? they apparently are opening 80 spots this year... i hope they're not interviewing a lot so our chances will be better!

I think schools usually interview over 200 students because a lot ppl decline acceptance if they get accepted to fully accredited schools, but schools that have the time and money like USC will interview over 500 ppl 😱 . However, I think we're pretty early on the interview list so we have a better chance with Touro. good luck 😉 👍

Does anyone know if Touro will allow phone interviews? I just got an interview invitation yesterday- I'm so excited!!! But I live on the East Coast and don't know if I'll be able to make it out there in time for an interview at the end of October.

By the way, someone asked if the people they were inviting had Bachelor's Degrees- I have one but I don't know if that is one of the main criterion they're using or not.

you cannot apply as early decision when ur pre-pharmacy coures are not done. Early Decision is for people who completed all their prepharmacy courses...you weird

early decision doesnt mean you get in earlier, it just means that you will choose that school no matter what, you cant go to another pharm school if you get accepted. so.. you can have courses that you havent yet finished. i think you're the one who is confused, worcesterphoboy. haha.

i already asked the Director of Admission of Touro and he said that i can have my pre-reg in progress, as long as they are all done before matriculation...doesn't matter Early Decision or not.....hope it all sort out for you PhoBoy...

Vallejo is located about 30 minutes away from San Francisco in North California. Without car, you can use ferry as transportation to come to San Fran (SF is a very fun and interesting city). Vallejo doesn't seem like a cool and fun city...but if you ever stop by a theme park there called Six Flags Marine World then you'll see how cool and fun it is....Touro Univ is located on Mare Island which is bridged directly to Vallejo...I don't want to tell you further more because you have to come and explore to see what you're interested in....

I received a letter from Touro today saying I have a completed application. And for you guys who got an interview letter, how long does it take to received a letter of complete application and the time they send u the interview letter? appromoxitly how long?

It took about a week or two for me to get my interview letter from the time they sent me my completed application postcard. Hope that helps!

so my interview date is getting closer (nov 4), and im freaking out even more... as of now touro is my #1 because it's my one and only interview so far.. they say they'll mail back responses in 2 weeks so i'll either have a really good or bad birthday present next month. i just want to get into pharmacy school!

i keep thinking, man yeah i go to UCI but i have like a 3.1 BARELY. I mean BARELY.

I hope i get in, everyone pray for me and ill be praying for everyone who has an interview as well!
