I will be attending SCO starting this coming fall and I had a question for those of you who are already in optometry colleges or have graduated! For in-class note taking, what would you recommend; a laptop or an iPad? I currently have a MacBook Pro but would be open to getting an iPad. Also, what is the best note-taking software that you have used? Thank you so much!

I have an iPad Pro with Apple Pencil and the school supplied a MacBook Pro. I love the iPad because I can type and hand write my notes. I do use my MacBook but mainly as a second screen when I’m studying.
I use notability on both and it’s been awesome. It syncs to the iPad and MacBook so your notes are always around when you need them.
It really comes down to your preference. I’ve always been a handwritten note person and the iPad makes it super easy to do.
