Hi, im not doing so well (like 60% in my classes this semester) and I'm wondering what I should do? <Hopefully this is the right place>

Choice 1:
Finish the semester with about 70-75%.... and have that on my transcript. Pros are I'll have them done. Cons are - If I retake it, the school I'm applying to will AVERAGE the grades. (I'll finish with maybe 80%..).

Choice 2:
Finish the semester with audited 3 classes. These classes won't be used in the calculuation of my GPA, but it will appear on my transcript. Say I retake the classes and get 90+ in each of them, how bad does 3 Audited classes look on your transcript ? Pros are: Way better grades...Cons are: Will they consider that I audited 3 classes? And I have to pay again to take the classes.

So my question is basically... what looks better on my transcript?
1 - 80% from the average in my courses, but retook them.
2 - 90% in my courses, audited them, then retook them.

Thanks.. I'm really having a dilemma right now..

Need two bits of info

First, is this your second year in school or your fourth?

Second, what classes are you struggling in this semester?

Hope I’m not coming off as a jerk, but what have you been doing all semester to earn 60%’s in your classes. Did something come up, ie. family issues that took you away from your studies

What semester are you in, and what classes are these?

If something beyond your control came between you and your studies, I honestly feel bad for you.

I’m not an all-knowing expert in the pharmacy field, but if you have been blowing off you studies, I feel you should step your game up if you want to get to pharmacy school and make it though. The classes are only going to get more difficult as you progress through your pharmacy career.

Best of Luck with your situation.

Along the lines of what others have said I think that you first need to figure out why you're doing poorly in your classes this semester. You need to make sure this changes before you decide to retake anything.

As far as your two options I think both will end up looking the same. One shows that you did poor for whatever reason and then were able to do better the second time. The other shows that you dropped out of the classes, most likely because you were doing poorly (who drops a class because they're doing awesome?), and then retook the classes to do better. The only benefit would be the slightly better PharmCAS GPA. So if you think your GPA will suffer significantly from a 10% drop in 3 of your classes the second option might be the way to go. However, you absolutely need to make sure you fix your current problems because re-re-taking a class looks bad no matter what option you take.
