Trying to raise my GPA: Summer Courses

After a horrible year. I'm trying my best to raise my G.P.A. I figured some summer courses could help raise my GPA a bit, if I did well in them.
Has anyone done summer courses in order to raise GPA and what were your experiences with the courses?

When it comes down to it, the BCPM is the only thing that really matters. No one cares if you got an A+ in the history of underwater basket weaving.

That being said, summer time is the right time for classes that might be more difficult to take during the regular school year. You often only take 1 or 2 classes a session, and can really focus on the material. I did that with a couple particularly difficult courses at my school.
