Congrats to those who got their acceptances this Friday.

Since there are only 10 of us, this might be a long shot, but who else got their acceptance? 🙂

I applied to the program, but they designated me as an alternate. *sigh* haha

Ah, so a bit of info is that they just mailed our acceptance letters on Friday 5-27. The deposit is $1000 to hold your seat. Some people might find this steep, or maybe they got into another program, so keep your hopes up!

By the way, congratulations! Yeah. I got the email on Friday as well. I emailed Donald Haight, but he won't update us (waitlist people) until early July. I guess the only thing I can do is hope.

"Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane." However," hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies."

Congrats!! 🙂 I also got alternate but I'm going to ask to be taken off since I'll be attending a different program. I'm just curious what exactly is alternate? Is it not the normal waitlist?

I think the deposit is $500 but if you want the MCAT prep it's $1000 right?

I'm not sure about the deposit. I will be getting the mail this monday.

What program did you decide to go to, Mzeep?

I'm actually going to Touro-NV's MHS program 🙂 I think it's similar to Tucom's but they don't have the guaranteed interview. Just excited to be going somewhere!

Oh and deposit thing, it was on the FAQ's section on the MHS admissions page.

Oh Cool! Good luck!

Yah, I see that deposit information now.

I'm also an alternate. Let's hope for the best 🙂

Can anyone from the previous years tell us how many alternates actually get in? Would be really helpful.

Congrats to everyone who made it!

and good luck for anyone who is still waiting!

How do you apply for this program? I tried googling it and couldn't find a link.

I was an alternate and just got an acceptance letter! I'm so excited, but now have to make a decision between this and an AmeriCorps program.

congrats. hopefully see you there.

Hi guys!

I got the acceptance as well!

I have been trying to find more information about the program (success rate, feedback, etc) but haven't been very successful... can someone link me to another thread you might know of that can help me? Thank you and good luck all!

Hey Mzeep!

I got into Touro-NV MSMHS program too 🙂 And, I also got the "alternate" designation at Touro-CA...guess we're both headed out to the badlands 😛

Hit me up anytime: [email protected]

P.S. I'm living in Remington Canyon...you?

Really??? CONGRATS! Damn, I must be really low on the alternate totem pole 🙁

Hey guys!

Great to see the acceptances! We should start a facebook group. You guys down? I can get it started if you want.

anyone searching for a roommate? I don't know Vallejo too well... so would be nice to hear where everyone is living as well!
I started the facebook group. Just search for Touro University - California MSMHS or pm me 🙂

@G1221: Hi there,

I'm in the same boat as you, an alternate at vallejo but pretty much decided on touro-NV. Did you hear back from vallejo yet? Im living in remington canyon too! What unit are you?

Hope to see you there!🙂

Hi all! I'm really interested in applying to TUCOM's MSMHS program & ideally get accepted into the DO program, can anyone tell me what they think of the program so far?

Is this a bridge program with conditional acceptance to the DO school?

The deal is that you have to get above 80% overall to get a guaranteed interview. The cool thing about this program is that they save you a seat so you don't have to compete for it. Once you're in the program, the only person you have to compete against is yourself (as in, doing well).

I am now in my 11th week of the program, if anybody wants more information on the program, PM me.

Overall, I recommend this program if Touro-CA is one of your top choices. 👍

Hey all,

I just recently discovered this program and will be applying this year. I have a cum 2.9 GPA with a 24 MCAT. Do you think I have a chance?

Hi there,

I believe your MCAT is a bit low but your GPA is right where most of the current MSMHS students had, but definitely apply because it can't hurt. To be honest, because the application pool is fairly big for only 10-11 seats, sometimes it is random who they accept and even more random who they take from the waitlist. Therefore, if you do end up applying, definitely contact the admissions office about your interest or do anything that might make you stand out. GOOD LUCK!!

Out of everyone in the MSMHS c/o 2012 that got accepted in the TUCOM c/o 2016, who actually went to Touro-CA? Did anyone from your class get accepted elsewhere? And if yes, did they choose to go there instead? Just curious if other schools would appreciate the fact that you did a post-bacc program elsewhere even if it wasn't with them...

To anyone in the MSMHS c/o 2012, how many of you were accepted into the TUCOM? Also, did any of you consider the MHS program in TUCOM NV? If so, what made the CA school stand out, esp since there seems to be a guaranteed seat in the COM NV if specific requirements are met?
