hello,
i'm currently in this program so allow me to offer you my insight. i got accepted into all 8 schools/programs of public health i applied to, turning down in-state tuition and scholarships because of tufts reputation and affiliation with the medical school. biggest mistake of my life. the administration is awful, way too disjointed, no communication, stretched too thin and not responsible for paperwork. for funding, priority goes to the medical students in all aspects.
if you want my advice, go somewhere with state school tuition. the mph, as a stand alone degree, will only get you entry level jobs anyway, unless you get into harvard or johns hopkins. i had the option of going to a state school and doing the masters international and paid $10,000 for the degree. instead, i'm stuck with $70,000+ in loans and treated like crap at this university.
good luck, i hope you choose better than i did

I applied to Tufts for the MPH Nutrition because you can cross register between the Medical School and Friedman School of Nutrition, which has a great reputation in the field. I applied because of the reputation of the school and the curriculum, which looks amazing, but I'm concerned by what ktw387 says as well...🙁
