I've been complete at Tufts for weeks, months. I haven't heard from them, not an interview or rejection. How long did it take for most people to hear from them? Any thoughts would be great.

I was complete at Tufts in late August, received the invite in mid-October. You can PM me if you want stats, but I have a very high GPA from a well-known undergrad, very high MCAT, solid ECs, excellent LORs, and I live in Boston now.
Did you say anything in the "Why Tufts?" (including why Boston) essay? I think it helps if they think you actually have a particular interest in Tufts, as opposed to med school in general. Also, they start interviewing people later than most schools, and interview through April... so at this point, no news is probably good news, I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks Hale,

I'm a senior at Harvard and I have a strong MCAT, so I thought that because I attend a school in the area and know the city well that I would get an invite. I've been complete since early Sept. I like Tufts. It's not my first choice. However, it's a school that I would consider. If you get accepted there, will you attend?

I'm in at a school that I like. I'm leaning toward that choice, but I just want to explore all of my options. Choosing is not easy.

Hi,
I would think that you probably will get an invite, if they think that there's a chance you'll end up there. They were much slower about getting back to me for an invite than most of the top 10 schools I applied to were. As for me, unless they come up with a pretty amazing scholarship (which I don't think they ever do), I don't think I'll go there. I've gotten into two comparable, but less expensive, schools since my interview at Tufts. The school is great, I really like the atmosphere, the students were friendly, etc., but for me it doesn't make sense to take on that kind of debt, when there are other places where I could be happy and graduate with 1/3 of the debt.
good luck.
