WTF I got my letter from Tufts in the mail this morning. "Our Committee on Admissions has recently reviewed your application but has not yet reached a decision on your candidacy." I waited all this time, and I have to keep waiting. Is this s nice way of saying waitlist?

Same exact thing here. How anticlimactic! 🙁

🙁 you guys mean to tell me only banannie got in today? (congrats by the way, banannie! )

ugh. <---a gazillion emotions personified in this one word

From reading all of the posts since my own this morning it is somewhat apparent that either nearly none of the acceptances went to SDN users, or the majority of letters were "hold". It seems that they really meant exactly what they said about being conservative in avoidance of overbooking the class. In regards to when we'll hear. If you look at the list of interview dates, you'll notice that there are no more until Jan 7 and everyone before that received or will receive a letter. The next large gap in interviews falls at the end of Feb and I think we can expect the next round of committee review then. Plenty of time to acquire material to supplement the application, I guess.

aah, my last post never showed up on here since my computer is acting up. I'll keep this short in case I get deleted again. anyway, all I wanted to say is that I got the same exact letter when I applied and I am now an M'05 at Tufts. The official waitlist begins in may, and as others have said, being on hold means you can be accepted or rejected at any time before May 15, or put on the waitlist in May. I was accepted in mid-July, and know many people who got in after I did, so don't worry too much. good job with the accurate info guys, BTW😉 and good luck..

Just to add to what Kate said...I interviewed at Tufts in 1/02 and after six weeks received the "we've decided not to decide" letter. They said they'd tell me in another 6-8 weeks whether I had been accepted, rejected, or put on the waitlist. In May, I was put on the waitlist, and in August I was accepted. I was always told that being put on the "hold" list was actually a pretty good thing. I'd just recommend letting Slavin know that you're still interested, write those letters of interest/intent, etc, and keep your fingers crossed. I never thought I'd get here, especially having to wait for what seemed forever, but now I'm an M'06...good luck to everyone and just stay optimistic.

To the current TUSM students, thanks so much for your information and reassurance. Any comments for those of us with acceptances at other schools that might go insane waiting until after graduation for decisions?

sigh....i got the infamous hold letter yesterday.....fuuuuuuuuuuu*k

i just contacted admissions office. as the other posters have mentioned, "hold" is distinct from waitlist. those who've been hold will be put into the next batch of reviews until they're admitted or placed on the waitlist near the end.

Yogi, you didn't mention rejections....

Ok I am back to trying not to care, now.....

i was wondering for the interview invite were you notified by email or regular...if you could let me know that would be great.

has anyone heard recently for an interview invite? I'm wondering if they sent those out in batches as well just as they do the acceptances/waitlist......just curious
anxious

I dunno to tell you the truth, but I just yesterday got my letter from them saying that my application was complete. Seems as though it took them almost 3 months to do this much, so not sure how much longer for a possible interview.

Shamthis, did they send you a letter saying you were on hold - is that an official category? May I ask when your app. was complete there?

ABW, if you take a look at the lst couple pages of posts, there are a staggering majority of people with the wonderful hold letter. It's an official letter that says they have decided not to decide yet. Thus it apparently is Tufts very own category somewhere between accept and wait list.
