We agree it should raise eyebrows but you are apparently comfortable with the investigative journalism that has been done whereas I have my doubts. The media after all votes and donates almost entirely to democrats and suppresses stories like this one 20 days before an election. Why would they have the sudden urge to do some real investigating now into what actually happened. You can see the mainstream spin on this already - it was just revenge porn and Matt taibbi is just doing a billionaires PR work.

I really don’t get the reflexive protection that is given by some people. Why make excuses for politicians. Left or right. If Biden is selling out the country, then he should pay after vigorous investigation by unbiased team. If trump is doing the same, I want him to get big jail time as well. Politicians should be held to a higher standard since they have have extraordinary power and responsibility. I do not get nor will I ever get why citizens don’t expect more from their elected government representatives.
The thing is that most of them are doing it. Outright treason won't be common but cheating and fraud for personal gain probably hits 90%+ of Congress and a good chunk of the judiciary. Desantis the hero of the right did it with his publishing buddies with his anti-woke textbook law, nobody there cared and he was overwhelmingly re-elected. The entire Trump line has profited enormously from his presidency, nobody in the base on the right cares and would vote for him again in a heartbeat. They police themselves and the punishment is functionally nothing so it won't ever change, might as well get upset that gravity continues to function when you drop your phone.

Musk can do whatever he wants, he bought Twitter, just pointing out that Musks claims of “saving America”, “restoring public confidence”, and “freedom of speech”, doesn’t really hold water when musk starts banning people for posting stuff on Twitter.

I love this type of argument. You ignore a greater problem (modification and direction of the twitter community allowed conversation with bias - to which Musk is attempting to eradicate) while labeling hate speech like it is some sort of thing that anyone actually supports.
