Did you receive any application complete mail earlier? I tried calling their office to check but no luck.

Can you please share your stats NBDE/TOEFL/GPA and exp if any for the benefit of everyone here so that we know what to expect.
Since there is no bench exam, i assume it should be not much of a hassle.

i got apllication complete mail 2 weeks ago. i ddnt call them yet to schedule the IV. will probably schedule it for sept 14.

do they send different mails for application completion and interview invitation or is it a part of one mail itself?

I believe it is separate,because I received an application completion mail a few weeks ago.No interview invitation yet.Hopefully waiting for one....!

I scheduled my interview for sept 21. I applied to upenn in mid july. those who had interviews at upenn in the past pls share your experiances.

Thks nbdepart 1 for sharing ur stats and letting us know abt ur i.v. All the very best!! U may wana check thread related to Upenn from previous years, theremany people have shared their exp. U may also check popular blogs written by kaushal dhavan and dhruv patel of ucsf.they too have good info.

Can u please tell how many people are called for 21st and which all dates were u given to choose from. it will atleast give an idea how many people have already been called...thanks again
 
thanks for the info. when i called they said the earliest they have is sept 21. so i took it. i honestly dont know how many people are called on the 21st. the letter i received says they conduct iv's tuesdays from early september till december

hi everyone..today i got a brochure from penn school , did anyone else also receive any brochure?
 
what kind of brochure? just a brochure, no letter? they send a brochure about the school along with the application complete letter. also the send a brochure about the campus & philadelphia & also hotel accommodations & interview schedule along with the interview invitation.

no it is not an interview invite letter but asked me to send the documents left. .and its a single brochure about the college...i sent my documents recently...did u get one before you got the interview invite..thx for the info..

Would you mind to share your status? I was just wondering because I applied to UPENN but I couldn't get any brochure. Is it for interview invitation?

Even I received a brochure with a checklist of required supplemental applications to complete the application. I dont think this has anything to do with interview mail. Personally i feel since i was a late applicant, they made sure i was aware of application deadlines. If others received this please discuss. Can i call upenn to confirm my application status?

Even I received the same.

After Upenn receives the required documents which they mentioned in the letter they will again send you a letter stating 'application complete'.

But you can always send them an email and ask about your status or may be you can call and confirm it.

i had also received a brochure along with a letter stating application requirements. it has nothing to do with interviews, i wish it had 🙁.lolz

Can you please share the nature of your clinical experience in US. I am personally wishing to do observer ship with a private dentist. How should we approach a private practitioner for observer ship?
 
I'd recommend to check with your dentist as well as with dentists seeing your friends, family etc. Maybe your friends/ family can introduce you to their dentists. Basically through networking. That's how I did it.

Maybe you could also become a member of some of the dentist groups on LinkedIn and send an inquiry to local dentists.

Another way I can think of is calling up local dentists of your national origin.

Otherwise, if you just call a random practice with this request, it would probably be a cold call.

yes i agree with zobarste,,,jus try to contact ur local dentists n they would definitely be ready to help u out.i jus contacted my local dentist n he readily agreed .

I wish to apply to upenn via caapid .My nbde 1 score is 89 gpa 3.97
But i took my toefl last week n am not sure if my score would reach upenn before 1st sept??
Also i requested for a copy of transcript from ece to CAAPID on 17 th aug...Wil it reach the caapid office well in time so that the caapid can fwd my applicaton to upenn before the sept 1st deadline.??.

Am i too late and should not consider putting in an application at upenn??

I am in a big confusion...please help.

I think that you should apply. You have great stats. You just have to put some money on risk but on the other hand if everything wil work out good, you can get in. you still have time.

In my opinion u shud go ahead wid ur applicatn.....u have a nice profile.......jst call nd ask ece ppl if they have processed ur request or not,,,,it usually takes a week fer d docs to reach d destination once dey mail it......meanwhile u can send a notarized copy of ur ece report to Caapid,,,,so dat ur applicatn is processed without any delay....GOOD LUCK

I have sent all documents on 4th of august, and the money order is cashed on 17th. So if they encash the money order, does it mean the application is complete ? please share your experience.

Hey docapril..thanks...also the applicaton states that you have to send the fees after submitting the caapid application...does that mean that i after i designate the program and get an email from upenn i shoul pay the application fees...please reply...

hi! they would send u a letter by mail to confirm application complete or document missing etc. they need money to process your application.

dont wait for them to send you a mail, just send all the required docs and the application fee asap, right after submitting your caapid application. good luck👍

I got an invitation a couple of weeks ago as well. I had mentioned it in another thread. Yet... I already have an offer from the school of my choice, so I'll be cancelling my interview with U Penn. U Penn is an awesome school, I believe. Even their way of communicating with you deserves a great deal of respect. Good luck to all of you applying there!

I just received app complete email today....everyone who has applied/gotten an interview please share stats...i've got 84/108/3.19

i got application comlete mail 2 weeks before.my stats are 77/97/3.2
do you have any idea what is the cut off in upenn every year and how many students apply there because in this forum only people got interview.

Just for curiosity and to compare my situation. Could you guys tell me how long have you been learning english? My Toefl score is 90 and that is the lowest score acceptable for UPenn. Do you guys know someone that got in UPenn with such score? I`ve been studying English for 1 year. I didn`t speak before I came to states. I would like to improve to 100 but I have no idea how long it is going to take. Thanks

i think there is no need to worry about your toefl score.90 is a good score so go ahead with your application 👍
