Congratulations to all those accepted off the waitlist!!
GOOD LUCK
to everyone next week!! Keep your cell phones fully charged!!

This is crazy. Thanks so much though! I only sent him one number - my cell
But as of 8:01 this morning, they are in the Middle 1/3 of the waitlist.
Last year by june 12 or something they were in the middle of the middle third

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but from what I read in previous posts UB stopped conducting interviews about 2 weeks earlier last year than they did this year. If this is the case, it seems to me as though they are progressing at a similar pace to last year just with a 2 week delay.
Oooh middle third. So exciting!I keep my phone in my scrubs now at work, and everytime it vibrates, my HR is about 110
I have not been called yet. 🙂I'm in the same boat as well.
Also, we should keep in mind that the SDN list is but a small portion of the Buffalo waitlist...so movement may be happening but we just don't hear of it.
Keep the dream alive!
OMG my friend who was on the middle third got accepted at 815 am today!!! I am soooo happy for himThought I would let you guys/gals know.
DrGeorge - I saw you had posted and thought maybe you'd gotten The Call!! Ha ha, I'm too quick to assume. 🙂The lack of visible movement from our list is starting to worry me (haha ok, maybe not starting...)
Don't forget about the rest of the Wait List, UB, there are still 2/3 to get through!!
Just trying to keep some conversation going to distract those of us still on the wait list: So...what is everyone up to lately?

I'm going to take a bike ride in beautiful sunny Buffalo. What about everyone else?
STUDYING MCAT!!! YAY!!!!!
LOL I am not that excited. Ive been putting off this tests for months. I have 3 weeks left and time to start studying.
I wonder if i'll need to delay again.
Come on Buffalo, keep on moving!!! Good luck you guys

You have three weeks before you take the MCAT and haven't started studying yet? 😱
I want to be a friend of Noeljan
🙂 you can be my friend!
good luck guyswe had housing weekend last night and everyone is awesome so you guys have some great classmates if you come to UB. Oh and I noticed someone withrdew that was on our facebook group (got accepted to another school) so maybe that opens up a spot🙂 I know for a fact they are in the middle third, so that's good news right?

Yeah, I want to be your friend too.
Just got caught with the PI peeking over my shoulder at SDN.

lol, that's never a good thing![]()
noeljan, did u decide on a place already?
hey there
yes I am living on Linwood alone. It's a nice place though🙂
and for people asking about missing housing weekend, I think you should be able to find something. I know there are students still looking for roomates, and you can always check the local adds (UB off campus housing add, craislist, artvoice, buffalo.com, etc)
Same way those of us pay who are not coming straight from undergrad and without weathly parents.... federal loans! Buffalo's a cheap place to live. The thinking goes, if you're coming straight from undergrad, you probably wont make a lot of money working anyway, so the time is better spent studying. Is anyone coming straight from undergrad? If so, do you mind if I ask how you are supporting yourself next year? Will you get a job? I imagine it's difficult to get a job/make money to support yourself in school, so how do you plan on doing so?
I am a little nervous about that....
P.S. No phone call acceptances from our list yet???? 😱

Hahaha so true. My friend at buffalo tells me that there is no time to be working somewhere because any free time should be used for sleeping
Anyone from the Buffalo area know which cell phone plan works the best?
I need to switch soon, but would like to switch to something that works well
I find it funny, how i'm talking like i'm gonna be going there.. Our list hasnt even moved yet =(.

When I was up there my Tmobile phone worked just fine and I drove all over the place calling apartments and houses.get verizon...I went to undergrad in the boonies 2 and 1/2 hours south of buffalo and verizon was the only one that worked well. But since buffalo is a bigger city i would assume AT&T would work fine as well
BTW, if i get off the waitlist I would want a rommie as well. I think it would be cheaper to live and it would be nice to have someone around to chill, relax and have a drink with. So if any one of you wants to live with a 22 year old, just outta undergrad male who loves music (indie/punk), snowboarding, and skateboarding. Well then, Im your man.

That said, I'm switching to Sprint but mostly for cost reasons (got an employee referral plan...google for SERO to get more deets), and the fact that they have a Palm based Treo (to satisfy that Palm requirement).
If I don't get into the U of MN off their alternate list I'll be looking for an apartment by UB sometime in mid-July. I'm assuming most people who've been accepted already will have an apartment lined up by then, so maybe I'll be talking to some of you who get accepted off their waitlist sometime next month... Anyone else waiting to get a place till later on?
Does anyone know what the average "cheap" apartment goes for with 2+ people? I'm looking to live as close to campus as possible because I'd prefer not to have to drive to school every day and it would be nice to be near class/lab/gym/etc... Right now I pay $450/month for my share of the rent plus about $80-90 more for elec/cable/internet. The impression I got on interview day was that you can find some very reasonable priced apartments around UB, so I was hoping to spend as much as I am spending now or less.
Dude, theres 79 people on the facebook group. I didn't know there were that many lol... wow thats not that many spots left.
