I can't find any information about average GPAs and MCAT scores on their website.

I also want to know the class size and percentage of out-of-staters that they accept every year.

I'd like to propose the following new SDN rule:

Anybody asking for data that's in the MSAR has to state a valid, or at least entertaining, reason for why they're asking on SDN instead of looking for an MSAR.

I would be nice and respond, but I'm not in my room right now (my MSAR is there).

The MSAR has the information for the accepted class. Does it also have the numbers for the entering class? Maybe I'm an idiot and just don't see it.

I thought the MSAR only has information for the entering class on those charts, not accepted. I could be wrong, which I frequently am.

The MSAR breaks down instate/OOS/intl by applied/interviewed/matriculated/deferred/MSTP, but not by accepted. And in some cases instate vs. OOS is subjective, such as at Marshall and UWash. And in some cases the math is questionable.

For GPA/MCAT, it lists medians for accepted applicants. Not averages, and not for matriculants.

It lists intended specialties but not match data.

It's not free, it's not online, it's not searchable, and it's two years old by the time we get it, so basically it's 1972. But for this thread and many others, the answers are actually in there.

I'm not trying to be an a** by withholding info, but I think it's reasonable to ask for some motivation to look something up for a stranger. In a book that I purchased. That they could purchase or find in a library or advisor's office.

Slight tangent - how LAME is it that neither my school's library nor our bookstore carry the MSAR?? I ended up buying my own copy from AAMC.

Never mind. I saw where they only take like 10% of the out of state applicants. Guess I'm sticking with UCLA, USC, and Stanford.....
