So this (the first item on the page) is a new thing it looks like UCDavis has started this year in order to attract prospective students with a genuine interest and experiences in food animal medicine. If students fulfill all of the requirements listed there (including extra coursework, 'documented and substantial' hours of experience in food animal medicine and a letter of rec from a food animal vet) then they guarantee an interview.
