If they stick to sending them out at 11am...we only have 26 minutes left before the first emails go out. Can't wait to hear if anyone has heard so that I can check my email 800 times hoping for good news! Good luck!!

haha i'm just hoping for sooner rather than later. My email pops up on my phone...so I've been glued to it all day and just realized that I have no clue what has gone on in my classes today! This is a horrible process.🙁

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. lol. Im supposed to be studying for my practical in 1 hr but stalking sdn is so much more fun!
 
Ok, I'm officially joining the club of obsessive email-and-sdn-stalking-UC Davis applicants!!! 😎 🙄 We're just the coolest, haha!

When I read the earlier comment about not counting minutes, my original thought was "are any of us capable of not counting the minutes?!"

Joining the club! I have to say, it is pretty amusing to scroll down the thread and see everyone's little green "currently loggin in" lights lit up! I even learned a shortcut to refresh the web page - just press F5! 😀
 
No need to obsess here: I'll be a proud member of Davis Team Reject soon enough! :hardy:
 
You and me both Catnapper - - - I don't think Davis is going to overlook the fact that I still have so many pre-reqs to complete...after I busted my butt trying to complete Western's prereqs, Davis got left in the dust.

Let's wait and see...

Well, Pomona, at least that gives you some hope for Davis next year, if you don't make it in somewhere this year. :luck:

Any OOS applicants to UCDavis hear back yet?

The thread on pros/cons made it sound even better than I'd imagined.

Does one of the current UCD students work in lab animal medicine by chance?

Oh bugger. This is my 3rd time applying, and still no interview!?!

This is really starting to put a damper in my plan for world domination... 🙄

Well good luck everybody. I recognize some of you from last year (yep, I'm a SDN stalker, quiet type) and hopefully we all hear something soon.

i am thinking i shouldn't have gotten on sdn tonight. i could have kept myself in ignorant bliss thinking(hoping?) that no interview invites had gone out 🙂 hopefully they changed things up this year and they didn't send them all out in one day? here's to hoping!

i have a feeling it's going to be a sleepless night...
 
I think we can only hope for a trickling of invites. After all if only one of us received news, that's pretty bad compared to last year.

last year they sent out all the interview invites and then sent everyone else rejections a couple days later.

bah, i really need to work on patience!
 
This might calm some nerves. I called this morning to schedule my interview, and I asked if all the invites were sent out. She said no, as they didnt want to get barraged with a ton of calls. They are going to stagger the invites, and they are sent by email. I hope this helps
 
Ole-- Congrats on being the first one to get an interview notice, and thank you SO much for calling to check up on invites for the rest of us 😀. I feel a lot better now after 2 days with no email haha, keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!! :xf:

Ole, did Davis give you a couple of options for what particular day you wanted to interview on or did they just let you pick what time you wanted to interview on a certain day? If I am lucky enough to get an invite I'd really hope that it doesn't conflict with one of my other interviews!

... definitely IF I'm lucky enough... don't want to jinx myself!
 
SDN, how did I ever live without you? Finally, people who understand the anxiety. I've been pulling my hair out for a couple weeks now waiting for Davis. Just wanted to wish all good luck since we'll be hearing soon.
 
Not that it will make the days go any faster, but the UCD website says that interviews will be sent out the 9th-20th, so there's still 1.5 weeks of notifications...good luck!

I was the very first call they received to schedule an interview, so they said I could pick anytime. I think the amount of interviewers before you will decide your scheduling choices. Their interview dates go until mid march, so I think that will give you plenty of choices. Good luck!:xf:
 
Hey, just a thought: is it possible they are going alphabetically? If this process is really going to take over a week, I might die. Ole, would you mind posting the first letter of your last name? That way if the invites start trickling in, we might be able to get a peek into their system and freak out less (just slightly of course). Thanks for all the info Ole!
 
actually they said on the website that it would not be alphabetical. i wish i knew how they were doing it as well. did anyone heay anything yesterday?

My name is Erik O., so I'm not too sure about the alphabetical thing. I received my interview on the first day, and I am the first interview scheduled. I think its all random to be honest. I would love to say I'm the greatest....but reality says different. If anyone at all needs anymore info, or wants to know anything else, please don't hesitate to ask, or PM me, I'm happy to try and help.

i sure hope not because my last name starts with b...so i'm pretty sure that'd mean i had been left in the dust!

i've been thinking a lot recently about how i need to be more patient in many areas of my life...maybe i'm supposed to learn something from this? 🙂

congrats to everyone who has already heard and good luck to everyone still waiting! i'm glad to hear there are options for times/dates because if i am lucky enough to get an interview, getting transportation from where i am in mexico over the border and back is going to be pretty tricky, so it would be nice to have some flexibility with when i can find rides across.

The order that they send out the emails is completely random. It is in no way alphabetized or ordered in any way that you can figure out 🙂. Good luck!
 
Last year, I got an interview invitation almost a week after most applicants got theirs, so I do think its completely random. Good luck everyone. I think we will be hearing very soon.

I got an invite as well!!! :luck:

For everyone still waiting, my email says that they are going to interview about 220 of the 1135 people who applied.
