for anyone else who "discovered" that they had been rejected by UCI after checking the status page ("Admission Denied"), have you checked it since to find that the message is gone now?

just on a whim, i rechecked my status, and it seems that i am no longer officially rejected. who knows if it's a glitch, one way or the other, but i thought i'd ask.

btw, i'm pre-secondary still and in-state, if that clarifies anything
 
Interesting... I'm no longer rejected either. (Whatever that means) I'm pre-secondary too.

They just released me for a secondary a week ago. I had already marked them as a rejection on my spreadsheet.😕
 
wow. this is weird. i threw a tantrum when i found i was rejected a month ago....but now it's gone....
anyone called them yet???
 
Hey guys the same thing has happened to me..like last week I was rejected and now I check again and it says that I have not been granted a 2ndary at this time and to be patient...WOWZERS! I dont know why they playing with our emotions!!
 
This all is the sort of UC action I've come to expect... (having gone to two UC schools)

funny story: my friend applied to uci a few years ago and got rejected. the next year, he got another rejection letter from uci only he DIDN'T even apply that cycle. 2 rejections for the price of one! talk about adding insult to injury.

maybe if my status goes back to "Admission Denied", i'll get to say the same thing too...

That's funny. I got rejected twice by UC Davis this cycle. First, they rejected me for the class entering 2006 (I didn't apply last year). So, I emailed them asking them what was going on. Within minutes, they rejected me for the class entering 2007. So sad. I got rejected from my #1 two years in a row within an hour.....
 
I emailed the admissions office and the dean of admissions replied saying that I am still indeed rejected. They were going to send letters last month, but when that didn't happen, they decided to take it down until letters were actually sent in January.

My UCI status under the interview row changed from "on hold" to "decision pending"

Has this happened to anyone else before? What was the outcome?
 
ditto from above. I was on hold to decision pending.

mine also changed from on hold to decision pending...wonder what that means
 
I'm still at 'Pending Review' on the interview line. I've been complete since late August! Keep us posted.
 
I'm gonna say decision pending isn't necessarily bad. Mine changed to denied today so thats better than that at least.

Yeah, I got the secondary so mine was denied interview. But yeah - looks like they're starting to send the rejections out.
 
what the hell.. same here.. still pending review even though I was complete moooonths ago
 
Wow..UCI was the only school Iwas waiting on...

I checked this morning and it says "DENIED" presecondary!
I called the office and the lady said it must be a computer error because they haven't looked at my application yet. WEIRD? Or is she just being nice? I also filed an appeal for a secondary a month ago...so maybe I was rejected and they are looking at my appeal now? This whole thing is weird.
 
Yea...I was 'on hold' and now it says "Denied" for an interview. Guess that pretty much means I'm ****ed.
 
Mine has said "Decision Pending" for a few days now. Has anyone else's status changed from "Decision Pending" to something else?
 
For those still "pending review" for an interview, when were you complete?

mines still "decision pending" too. Changed from On Hold to that about a week ago. I was complete 8/23

Same here. I was put on a pre-interview On Hold. I just checked and now I am no longer On Hold, but Decision Pending. What does this mean?
 
i went from 'on hold' to 'decision pending' to 'denied' it seems like 'decision pending' is the phase before an interview/secondary or rejection
 
havent checked on irvine in a while, but this thread resurrection caused me to find out that I have been denied an interview... (so i went from pending review under interview to denied, likely this morning sometime cause that is when everyone elses seems to have changed)


...oh well

Been complete since September and still pending review. When I called to ask about my application the lady said that two people usually review each application. Mine had been reviewed once and was in the "pile" to be reviewed a second time. That was a month ago, so obviously things don't go in any logical order.

Same exact situation for me.....im getting anxious....
 
does anyone who was on hold before still say "decision pending" ???

or, i guess more importantly, did anyone change from "decision pending" to actually getting an interview yet?

speaking of uci (i'm still "pending review" since november), I hear they hold interviews in one big batch once or twice a month? If so, does anyone know when their next interview day is?

I hope those of us waiting pre interview hear soon!

also "pending review" since november.

as of last thursday, a lady in admissions said my file was "most likely" in the last crate of folders to be looked at (first time screen....yes, one more crate only). she also didn't know why it has taken so long to be reviewed (or why people complete after me have already heard news--interviews/on-holds/rejections).

so, don't worry just yet....there are 4 more interview dates possible (though i think a group of people received invites today)......and interviews go through april. also, you may get less than a week's notice before the interview...yay!!!! :luck: :luck: :luck:
 
There is still hope for you guys. I received an invite today, 3/5 after being complete in September and placed on hold in October. There were 3 interview dates still open. Good luck to you all!
 
I called last week as well. The lady I spoke with told me that my file has not been looked at ("Pending Review" since mid-October). 😱 Also, she suggested that I e-mail an update letter to the e-mail address given on the website asap, so I'm guessing they're going to review the last of the applications this week...
 
Mine changed to Denied too. Stinky UCI 😛
