Just thinking about all the possible options why it hasn't been uploaded yet. Do you have a tracking number to ensure it was delivered? I remember reading somewhere that it can take a long time if sent via regular mail as opposed to FedEx--something about sorting. Keep calling every so often. I hope somebody picks up!

I spoke to the Consortium last Friday and they're telling me that they are swamped with all the letters and transcripts coming in. This is most likely the reason they extended the deadline. However, they assured me that even if one or more of the supporting docs have not been uploaded to the application BUT are in their pile before the 23rd deadline then the application will still be considered on time and will be sent to each individual program. My application is still pending as well and I sent it in over 3 weeks ago, so you're not alone bubbles999! Try calling around 1-3pm, I've called multiple times and so far they have been picking up.

Thank you everyone. :happy: They finally picked up my phone call and my application is now complete! Calling from 1-3PM really did work.
 
Do the program's contact individuals through email first? I wonder what the chances of me getting in are now, since my application was completed one day before the deadline. :dead:

As for your dilemma between UCI and UCSF, that's a tricky one :/ If you don't hear back from UCSF by then, do you think UCI would be willing to extend the deadline?

I'm really surprised as well!! they got back to me in two weekdays. I'm so happy!!! The only thing is that they really want me to make a decision on the offer by the end of this month, which is probably before the time I will hear back from UCSF. :'(
I'm really stuck because I really want to stay in the bay area for a little longer. UCI has an amazing program, but I don't know how I feel about living in the suburban, which makes the decision so hard.

I was contacted via email for UC Irvine. I'm sure that you still have a great great chance of getting in! The application deadline is today, haha, so you are just on the dot.

Congratulations!!! I have an interview with UC Irvine next week and praying for the best as they are my first choice!

I appreciate you sharing what you heard from previous alumni! Do you happen to know how long interviewees have to make a decision in the event s/he is accepted? I hope to have other options in the event I am declined at UC Irvine... Thank you!

No problem! I am not sure, from what I have seen on this forum and previous years forums I think you have a month. But isn't UCI your first choice?

Wow!!! didnt know this thread was here until now. Submitted my app 3/1 but one of my LOR was lost and had to resend. Luckily they extended the deadline and my app was considered complete on 3/23 i was freaking out. I am happy for those who got invited for interviews. So nerve racking checking email every 5 min. Really want to get into UCSF. Look forward to hearing from all of you.

My application is still pending, and I turned everything in at least a week before the deadline. Is anyone else's application still pending?
 
My application is still pending... I am so worried. I submitted everything before the old deadline (3/16). Should I be worried now?

I've been trying to call all day and no one is answering.
 
I emailed each program directly because my apps were still pending so close to the deadline. I talked to the Consortium on 03/18 and the representative informed me that they were overwhelmed with the amount of transcripts and LORs they were receiving. UCSF replied today 03/28 and informed me that they were aware of the consortiums backlog but they told me that, "Our office will still review applications just as long as it was submitted by the March 23rd deadline." I'm not sure about UCD or UCI. I know UCR is a little more lenient with their deadline and usually send out their interviews last. Hope that helps anyone still pending!

Submitted application: 3/1/16
LOR and Transcript Postmarked: 2/24/16
Completed: 3/23/2016 (barely made the deadline)
Sent to: UCD, UCI, UCSF, UCR

For those of you who got an interview from UCSF would you mind posting your "stats" so we can get a better idea of what they might have been looking for in an applicant. I only applied to two schools, UCD and UCSF, and my application is still pending. I am waiting on two more transcripts to be marked as received so my application can be complete.

Oh MANNN, it must've been really tough deciding to wait for UCSF or securing your spot at UCI, but I think it's smart of you to be safe rather than sorry!!

And daanggg, that's a really small cohort... Good luck to everyone else out there!! The interview for UCI was a very standard, straightforward interview. Introduce yourself, why medicine, strengths, weaknesses, community service, leadership, etc. Just know your application really well, because they will ask you about the activities you've listed. But overall, it was a nice conversation type interview. It'll be okay, I swear 🙂

Sub 3.0 GPA, mid 3's for BCPM, research+clinical w/underserved, shadowing. What about you?

Not yet, from what I've heard UCD should be any day... and don't expect to hear from UCR anytime soon! Unless things have changed this year, lol

Lol, piggybacking on what @Premedgirl27 said, most of the past UC Postbacc threads state that UCR gets back to students the latest. Some even said they didn't get notified until AFTER the program start date!

Congratulations! 😀 What exciting news!!! My interview is tomorrow via Skype and in their email so a few days ago, I was asked to mail in a passport photo ID and all transcripts... I am worried that the delay for them receiving my transcripts would affect my admissions decision. :/
 
I cannot contact the Consortium ??? No one is picking up the phone and I am freaking out. My LoR was sent of Feb 26 but it is still not uploaded yet

I believe the 2x2 inch photo is for discussion purposes (referenced when our interviewers review our application/interview answers before the admissions committee), so you DO need that by the day of the interview. However, the transcripts are not necessary by the day of the interview and will NOT affect your chances of admissions (I emailed and asked them the same question!); but getting those transcripts in ASAP will expedite the application process (ie. the paperwork prior to getting into the postbacc) if you are granted acceptance. My transcript and AP scores weren't received until just today, but I was accepted yesterday!

Submitted application: 2/24/15
LOR and Transcript Postmarked: 2/24/15
Completed: 3/3/15
Interview invite: (via email) UCI 3/08/16
Interview: In person at UCI 3/22/16
Acceptances: (via email) UCI 3/29/16
Deadline to confirm acceptance: UCI 4/06/16

And of course, if anybody has any questions, please feel free to ask them, I'm sure others on this forum are wondering the same thing!

Does anyone know why UC Irvine asks for official transcripts to be mailed to their specific office when all of my transcripts have been uploaded on the consortium website? I would appreciate anyone's input/help!
