UC Riverside is appropriately provisionally accredited as far as I can see. This step was delayed by a year solely due to budget constraints by the State Legislature. That appears to be the only reason why provisional accreditation was delayed

Thanks Gonnif! That's a relief.

I'll clarify (Third year student). We were originally declined preliminary accreditation because of the state budget constraints. After a few maneuvers we were granted permentant funding and was the only school to come back from a failed prelim accreditation in awhile. Since then we have met target steps each step of the way on time. While the poster is correct we are provisional, it wasn't delayed because of funding. We achieve provisional just before the first classes fourth year starts. Full accreditation is achieved when the first class graduates. The LCME to reiterate did NOT delay our provisional. Only the initial preliminary. It's primilinary, then provisional then full. Each step is reached as the first class reaches the milestones.
