Anyone have any idea at all how many people usually get off the waitlist? Also do we know about how many they’ve sent out? I’m freaking out lol
Usually about 50. And they invisibly rank their waitlists from what I’m gathering. They send them out in batches as a way of ranking them.Anyone have any idea at all how many people usually get off the waitlist? Also do we know about how many they’ve sent out? I’m freaking out lol
Thank you! It looks like they’ve done two waves of WL so far bc I just got one today and others got their last week. I’m very curious how many people are in each waveUsually about 50. Post II rejection rn
Most of it will occur after April 30th.Anyone know when we should expect pulls off the WL?
Historically, the WL begins to move around early-mid may. However, WL have been sent out earlier this year compared to previous years so that may correlate with earlier movement as well.Anyone know when we should expect pulls off the WL?
Thinking about doing it! Gonna try everything to get off the WL lolAnyone here attending open house?
Would attending the open house that is open to anyone really make that big of an impact on your waitlist?Thinking about doing it! Gonna try everything to get off the WL lol
Realistically not at all, but my copium says it will! lolWould attending the open house that is open to anyone really make that big of an impact on your waitlist?
we have this discord atm!!Hey all! Any accepted students still checking this thread? I’m a current MS1 who was wondering if there was an admitted students chat or anything like that on some other platform.
There are a couple announcements we’d like to make/say congrats to admitted applicants! Good luck to everyone applying!
same hereHas anyone on the wl seen their CYMS updated yet?
I was placed on the wl over two weeks ago and it’s still not on my CYMS
Is that a thing? An unofficial waitlist? For the people who were waitlisted second batch does your waitlist show on CYMS? I was first batch and it doesn't show.same here
fingers crossed this means we're not on an official waitlist and will be hearing back before 4/30 ://
I'm not sure if it's a official "thing" but for CUSM I was waitlisted early on and then accepted late March so hopefully UCR is doing something similar with the first batch of WLs where they will start moving people off even before 4/30 *fingers crossed*Is that a thing? I was second batch and I don’t see it either! Although- based on last years WL it’s unclear whether the batches are actually correlated to priority or not. I’m curious when we’ll start to hear back! Previous years seemed to hear back as early as a week which is so nerve wrackingIs that a thing? An unofficial waitlist? Nothing yet 🫠Any March interviewees hear back yet???

Anybody remember or have an estimate of when UCR typically starts pulling from WL?
Not to be an ass or anything, but everyone "plans" todo well on the MCAT. Elaborate on your academic warning; was this for poor performance or disciplinary action? Can anyone give me tips on how to stand out as a UCR med school applicant? I'm open to having my personal statement read for those who got interviewed. This is literally my dream school. I'm strongly community-driven and an IE native and UCR undergrad, but my cGPA is low at 3.2. I plan to do great on the MCAT, aiming for at least 510. I do have an academic warning. I have also been reading up on getting an HPAC letter, but will that harm my application? Has anyone here gotten an HPAC letter or one from UCR when applying to med school? What are y'all thoughts on that?
lmao u right bout the mcat part. the warning was the fact that i collaborated on a psychology study guide using a google doc when the professor said not to.Not to be an ass or anything, but everyone "plans" todo well on the MCAT. I attended UCR's open house this past weekend and they claimed that they are MCAT-blind. From what I understand, they have a strong preference for applicants who are service/community-oriented and from diverse backgrounds. They didn't say anything about IE-natives, but it's well known that they have a bias toward them hahaCan anyone give me tips on how to stand out as a UCR med school applicant?
