Hey, I noticed there haven't been any new posts on this thread in a while and I hate going through the list to find it, so I made a new post. I also had a thought today (wow, I know!!) Every school has to send out as many acceptances as they have spots by March 15th. Does this mean that if our status changes after march 15th, and hence all of the spots are taken, that our best chance would be a waitlist letter?

Two things:
I got a status change today, but interviewed in the fall so not expecting much.
I don't think schools have to accept an entire class by March 15th because some schools (non-rolling) aren't accepting any till after that date. I don't know what the March 15th date means. Are you confused with the May 15th date?

No, I am not confused about the dates. Here is the quote from an official website on school admissions.

AMCAS schools are required to have issued a number of acceptances that is at least as great as the size of the first-year entering class. Note: many acceptances come after this date.

If you interviewed in the past couple of weeks, it could be any of the 3 decisions: accept, waitlist, or reject. GOOD LUCK

Good luck to everyone waiting for acceptances... i'm still waiting for an interview! I've been complete for over 3 months and still haven't heard anything! I called UCLA today and the lady said that my file was currently being reviewed and that I should hear within the next couple of weeks... she said "don't worry you're still ok!". I don't know if she was just being nice but it gave me some hope at least. I've pretty much given up... UCI here i come!

-are you supposed to send transcripts from ALL of your schools, or just your undergrad? i'm assuming its not a big deal if you just took a summer JC class here and there, but I'm not sure
-can you bring supplemental info with you on your interview day? like an update letter or something?
-how come only some people get student interviewers?

Yes, they want all your transcripts. I would include the ones that you took at JCs, especially if you put them down in your AMCAS.

I don't see why not. They can definitely include that inside your file. I sent my update post interview.

holy **** just came home to an MSTP acceptance in my email. I had totally given up hope after even my alma mater rejected me for mstp. Guess that means I'm going to be a bruin c/o 2014 (or so)!!! 😱

BTW, I noticed on the current medical students part of the UCLA SOM, that there is a 2006 match list available...I hope they provide this to us on recruitment day (May 6th)....

MedSkool, since you interviewed in January, it makes sense that you did not hear till this month. But since I interviewed in November (I think), I don't know why UCLA has waited so long to give me feedbac. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of SDNers who are part of this 3/13 batch either. Any ideas of what to make of this batch anyone? I am looking for any straws to grasp I guess. I wish MDs could get emails along with the MSTP applicants.

I just checked again today and found out that my decision letter was sent. But right underneath the website, it had this box to RSVP for Recruitment day with a form to fill out. This means I'm in right? Oh god, I'm panicking! Don't let it be a mean glitch!
