Went home at lunch and got the letter I have been waiting for.....After a long wait, I have been ACCEPTED!!! Man, it feels really good to say this.

All I read was "It gives me great pleasure..." and I think was all I had to read before it sank in. Maybe I should read the rest though, it could say "It gives me great pleasure to REJECT you.." I'm kidding. Good luck to you ChocoBo, I'm sure yours is in route to you very soon.

Just to document this on SDN (this was a question I had since the begining): It is very possible (just as UCLAstudent said it was) to get accepted into both Geffen and Drew!

Too many good decisions to make...

haha i was trying to look for your response specifically when SDN went down. (AGAIN!) why is it having so many problems right when theres finally mvmt going on at UCLA.

anyways congrats! its good to see you hardcore UCLA-Geffen fans getting accepted. I WILL JOIN YOU GUYS SOOOOOOOOOOOOON.

I'm in!!!!!! I live in the LA area, but I just got the letter this afternoon! Interviewed on 1/23. Still hard for me to believe that I will be a UCLA medical student in the Fall. Feels like I have waited forever. I am a reapplicant just like my friend DrBorisCA (who is now my classmate!!)

Does anyone know if your status changes if you're getting a "not-so-good" letter in the mail? I interviewed in November and haven't heard a word yet. Thanks!

I'M INNNN!!! I'm so excited. I just printed out several withdrawal letters for al lof the other schools I was holding spots for. Good luck to you for those who are still waiting! 🙂

Congrats rosiemary, waterlily, rebs, and everyone else! I am starting to feel that same way, I have an itch to withdraw from other places (cause my mind feels very set right now, but I have already done my financial aid stuff, might as well wait it out)...

Congrats to rosiemary, waterlily, and the two docs (boris and bear) 🙂 I got my letter today too and i'm INNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really pray that all the other SDNers get in too...u guys sound like great folks, and I hope your dreams come true.......

mmm, get there early, cuz the office is kinda hard to find if it's your first time there. other than that, relax, chill out, their interviews are pretty tame if your know your apps.

Wow, thanks so much! Congratulations to Elastase, Gee!Golly!Gosh!, DrBorisCA, Waterlily, Rosiemary, and Rebs! To those who have yet to hear, don't lose hope. This is such an exciting, anxious, crazy, and wonderful time for everyone. Cheers!

Congrats on the interview...I would recommend the following:
1. Read up the interview feedback from the SDN website
2. Check out the UCLA website to see what kind of research interests they have (look at recent fundings, recent centers of research that were opened, etc...basically, look for the trends)
3. Really know your AMCAS application really well

And...relax...when you go in the for the interview approach it as if you want to make friends with the guy/lady, and not as an interrogation...make it conversational, ask about the interviewer and have a conversation before he/she launches into the questions.

Wildbeast...yeah...the place is pretty confusing...make sure you get there ahead of time and find your way around (there is an information desk)...good luck dude!

Got the good news this afternoon. I'M IN. Wow, I can't believe how lucky I've been throughout this process.

Congratulations to my fellow SDN peers. It looks like we made it.
For those of you still waiting, hang in there. You'll be celebrating soon enough.

I got the good news this afternoon. I'M IN. I can't believe how lucky I've been throughout this process.

Congratulations to all my accepted SDN peers. I knew we would make it through.

I hope all of you who are still waiting get that status change soon enough. It must be tough, but good things come to those who wait.

Haha EXACTLY. NO I've been meaning to change my avatar for a while...its been buggin' me...But yeah, It is a new chapter of my life, I will save a LOT of time not worrying/checking that status page and/or mail...now I can be even more productive in tha lab.

BTW...everytime I read chocobo...I think of choc-o-taco...you know that icecream taco that you can get at taco bell....damn good

Do you guys think it will be a prob that I say hella ALL the time down there? Hella tight.

UCLA was a pretty chill place to interview. Typical questions, nothin out of left field. Open file so you probably know the drill. Pretty good lunch options..heh. Make sure you tell them your a trojan fan and that you completly enjoyed the beating they took from USC this year. 😉

I am happy that so many dreams are coming true! I interviewed in late october and just got my acceptance letter today. I am looking forward to acceptance students weekend because the interview really didn't tell me much about the schoo.
