Thanks a lot for the help. I called the admissions office, and they set up my status page so that I could view the second look schedule and RSVP through there. Can't wait to go back down to so cal that weekend.

Concerning the scholarship, it was also for 5,000 dollars, but just under a different name. Guess they just use various sources of funding to serve the same purpose. Congratz to everyone else, and thanks again.

Not sure. They are still interviewing right now though. And it doesn't seem that they would interview for only waitlists. But, who knows? I'm biased cuz I'm still hoping there's some good news left for me.

Meaning that people interviewing are interviewing for waitlists spots. everyone should find out his/her status by welcome week. but most likely it will be a waitlist. after may 15th they expect movement so we shouldnt give up hope."

That just doesn't make any sense to me. I interviewed early December and still haven't heard anything. If the class is filled or if they accepted enough people...shouldn't they still let people like me know where I stand...whether i'm waitlisted or rejected? 😕

yah i dont get why people who interviewed AFTER me got rejected/waitlisted...but I've heard nothing. I think we are the "borderline" applicants and they just wanna wait to see who else they get this month to compare us to. grrr...but at least we hear back in 2 weeks

I think one person on here interviewed ON March 1st and got a hold. I haven't heard anything about anyone interviewing later than that. I interviewed the last week of Feb and havent heard anything.

borderline acceptance/waitlist. doesnt seem like it'd be a big deal as far as who to put on the waitlist/reject...either way most waitlist won't get in anyway? i think they have a few spots left and have to wait for the rest of interviewees to interview and then they decide who is worthy to accept. this is just my theory....

by the class being filled, does she mean that the decisions for acceptances have been made and 1) all the acceptances went out in the mail already, or 2) the rest of the acceptances (which have already been decided but have not been sent out) will go out in the mail?

When I called last Friday, the person who answered the phone asked if I had checked my status online, which I did. But having already waited 6 months (not knowing if my app was lost), she specifically checked my file and told me that it was still with the adcom awaiting a decision.

Most of the adcom members aren't in daily contact with the admissions office since they usually only interview one applicant/week (and, now that things are winding down, they interview less frequently). They would have no way of knowing whether or not the class is full.

a friend of mine called today(she interviews this week) and spoke to a diff. admissions lady and was told, "yes there are still spots left. we wouldnt ask u to fly out here if there wasnt for sure room for u in the class." psh, who can we believe? lots of schools interview for waitlist spots...why not UCLA?

For those who interviewed a long time ago, why dont you call and ask if anything is holding up your file? I interviewed in Nov and got my decision on 3/21, so for anyone that interviewed february or after, they probably havent touched your file. But other Nov/Dec interviewees should see whats going on over there.

if there are really spaces left...why do they not want more people to come to the revisit weekend?? it's as if they are purposely slowing down the process so that people DON'T attend their revisit weekend...😡 🙁

I totally understand what y'all going through. I interviewed early Dec and so far, no status change. I have already called the admission office 3x. Each time they would say that "my file is still under review". This waiting game is really killing me. 😱
