UF's pre-requisites have recently changed from requiring only 8 hours of Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chem, and Physics by adding 4 hours of Microbio, Biochem, and Molecular Bio.

Having already submit my application before these pre-requisites were added, will I need to still take these classes? It doesn't seem fair that I should have to cram in 3 more hard classes when I will be graduating.

if you are fortunate enough to receive admissions to the school, then you should be more than happy to complete these additional classes. You should probably plan to take atleast one of these reqs next semester.

These aren't listed under the classes that I plan to take though and feel like it will hurt my application

Email them that you plan on changing your class selection ( once you know for sure what class you will take), and add your AADSAS ID to that email.

Hello,

I am a Florida resident. I have been planning to apply to UF for well over a year. I assure you, these requirements were present last year. You can always take the classes post interview, as the other poster suggested.

These are not new pre-recs. I was invited for interview to UF last year and unfortunately was told after my interview that I was missing microbio. I emailed after my interview that I had signed up to take it in the summer but with all the other applicants with finished pre-recs, I was told I could re-apply the next year. At a different school interview, I met another person that had received an interview to UF and they called him before his interview and told him he was missing psychology and they withdrew their invite. Don't know if there were other factors but that was what he told me.

Wow. Just wow.

I guess you didn't bother to look at UF dental's website because those pre-requisites have been listed in detail for at least a year and a half. The only thing you can do now is schedule those classes into your academic year ASAP.

Wow. Just wow.

Not too suprising, some people don't want to waste an extra G on a class they don't want or don't have time to take. I was told to take microbio and a 1 credit anatomy class for MWU. I said screw that, took one of my other acceptances and spent that money in thailand.
